To be fair to Fully he is hardly the most negative poster regarding NM. His posts are objective and well reasoned. Of course he is going to have a harder time to see the pitfalls of his own project (just as to the same extent my hope for NM blinds me from what other people deem "reasonable concerns"icon_wink.gif. But that's life. Thinking objectively is always harder when focused on yourself.

The problem we have IMO is "fear". The nature of relegation in the franchise era has pitted two clubs together (with a strained relationship to say the least) in fight for survival. This fear quickly fell down to the fans and gave rise to the "trolling" we see on BOTH forums. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering! I think the franchise system has created a lot of suffering within the Wakefield district and in a wider setting has taken the focus off what is really important; the rugby league. Which is why in some ways I'm envious of Championship fans, IMO they get more real RL than we could dream of in SL because of all the baggage that comes with SL. Not to say I want to be a championship fan, but I do want to see some changes in SL.

As both I and Fully have said if we were still in an era of P&R neither of our clubs would be in any danger of losing our licenses as so both clubs would have gone down a route of "mutual support" rather than the situation we currently "enjoy". If SL is prepared to lose this great rivalry for the sake of underwriting it's expansionist agenda then so be it. SL will be much, much poorer without it.

IMO it's the system that's failing, not these two great teams. But I think both clubs should do well to remember what a great man once said "The system may fail you, but don't fail yourself!"

And anyone who worked at hicksons will be able to tell you that no toxic waste was ever buried on the site of the cas ground as you said.

Well 21 pages about a small part of RL when there are major issues does seem to point out that somehow, some people's sense of priorities are well, "different".
