It's Wigan's own fault they lost - they shouldn't have missed that tackle. I'm not blaming the referee or saying Leeds cheated. My argument is reasonable - Leeds last try was lucky.'"
I think the first part of your post shows why the second part of your post is laughable. Leeds got lucky but it wasn't the refs fault or that Leeds cheated. It was because Wigan decided to give up tackling for the last 30 seconds of the game. Which is completely dependent on the players. No luck concerned there as far as I can see.

They didn't decide to - it was obviously accidental. It was unlucky when it occured and where on the pitch it was.

You do realise don't you, that every try, and every point for that matter, in every single Rugby League match that is played, is always down to a mistake of some sort from the opposition player. How can a try be scored for example, without a player not making a tackle?
You know that, right?

But surely that means every missed tackle is a fluke? There is no luck involved in running to the line and having a player drop off you. That's down to the conditioning and technique of the tackling player. There was no luck there it was a good piece of play by Leeds. We did a set play and Wigan missed their tackles.

It's unlucky that it occured in the last minute right on the tryline as opposed to in the 50th on the halfway line.'"
Whilst I’m sure we can agree about many aspects of the game, the interpretation of ‘luck’ has become a sticking point, therefore I’m off to buy some beer.
Stay lucky .

I'll follow this guys lead and end my argument.
Obviously i'm the only person who sees my point so it must be wrong, Leeds weren't lucky to win that match.

There ae plenty of drop goals that aren't down to opposition mistakes.

Finally! Keep going on RA&B though pal. They seem to have your bitterness at heart

Again, no bitterness from me
I'm just hoping that we get through and get the chance to knock you out of the cup.
I may be bitter if Leeds knocked us out, but not when they knock the cocky Wiganers out.

Well if tackles weren't missed, or penalties weren't given away, or balls weren't knocked on, how would a team get within the 20,30,40 metres from the posts to kick a drop goal?
If players didn't miss tackles/give away penalties/make forward passes/knock on - our game would be full of 0-0 draws played around the half way line

See some of Jamie Langley's 10-15 metre drives from earlier in the season
Or how about a 40/20 ??

| Basically RescuedBlue the last minute is some sort of mystical "fluke zone" where anything that happens is pure fluke. Everything before is fair and right then we enter the "fluke zone". I do wander if the tackles hadn't been missed would it of been a flukey tackle? As it's in the last minute preventing a try and Wigan hadn't planned to be defending their line in the last minute!

| On a more positive and non-argumentative point ...
I thought it would be a terrible match at the start due to the conditions, but both teams put on a good game and took it to each other for 80 minutes. Lets hope tomorrows match can match that.
