| Quote: JB Down Under "why it was a poor game was the St's drive and kick tactics for 60mins of the game and Sth's total inability to create try scoring opportunities inside St's 20metres. Lost count of the number of times they lost the ball or had very poor 5th play options.'"
I agree JB.....it wasn't a cracker, but let's face it.....out of 192 games all season, you're gouing to get the odd game like that.

| yep, I just don't get people raving about it as the game of the season.
For me something around a 20-18 score is usually a damn good game with a solid mix of defence and attack.

| I have to admit that what some see as boring, doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Coaches go mental when things don't get done as planned. And I'm afraid, one of the main gripes is completion, followed by 5 and a kick if you're not in the "red zone". In fact, if you can't score, repeat set is screamed out. And if your team can get down the other end in your set from your own red zone, that too is heavily applauded.
The thing is.... it's not by fans.
The game the other night had elements of brilliance with regards to the above, but it's not spectacular to watch. I don't fault St George, nor did I Melbourne. As a lot of coaches would love their teams to be able to do that.

Leeds 2011-......................................
As I said. Not a brilliant game for us fans, but for you purists I am sure it was a "cracker".

Nah, I'm a fan first TBH.
If it's a team I'm not fussed about, it can be less of a spectacle. If I'm sitting in a coaches box like I did for 6 seasons, then it's frustrating when they don't do what St George, Melbourne and others do. Especially if we lose. Because at the end of the day, that'd be one of the reasons we'd have lost. It was an eye opener learning what goes on behind the scenes I can tell you. I realised how little I knew about what happens. Nowadays I'm on the sideline looking out for injuries, signals and the ref. You can't really watch the while game as it's played.

| Souths have just given new contracts to Merritt and Sutton on 3 year deals.
I think Sandow is OOC and was surprised he wasn't given one, i wonder if Maguire doesn't want him and has told them not to offer him one. Think the Eels want him anyway.

| Apparently Sandow is wanted by the Eels, Bennett has put a good word in with Kearney saying to get him to the Eels and they've got the money to get him, much more than what Souths can come up with.
Would he be a big loss to Souths? I'm not sure he would, he sure could turn out to be in a few years if he improves but not just yet although Souths will be stuck with no halfback unless they've got someone lined up. Thomas Leuluai maybe?

The Eels have got Vai Vai for next season from Souths. There also getting Tom Symonds from the Roosters and want Sandow and Adam Blair.

I was fuming at this last week. Sandow has been fantastic, I'll shed a little tear for that guy if they let him go!
