| Quote El Pac Carnegie="El Pac Carnegie"I was gunna ask that. We were shocking with ball in hand but stood up to be counted in defence. If it was flukey that we scored in the last I assume it was flukey for Wigan that Delaney had his brain fart 5 minutes earlier and tossed it into the crowd.'"
Despite the amount of possesion Wigan had in the Leeds half, I am struggling to recall when they genuinely looked like scoring a try. Maybe the last 5 seconds of the first half, but that was down to the Leeds knock on from the kick off. Leeds played the majority of the first half in our own half, which the BBC made of the fact that Pat Richards was such a great long kicker (which he is) however it was clear (especially going on the effect of his kicks in the second half) that there was a strong wing blowing east to west.
Leeds scored a try and blew one of probably the only two genuine try scoring opportunites of the whole game
How this equals mass Wigan dominance and the best side losing is beyond me

| Quote Ewwenorfolk="Ewwenorfolk"That was lucky, yes.
It's Wigan's own fault they lost - they shouldn't have missed that tackle. I'm not blaming the referee or saying Leeds cheated. My argument is reasonable - Leeds last try was lucky.'"
I think the first part of your post shows why the second part of your post is laughable. Leeds got lucky but it wasn't the refs fault or that Leeds cheated. It was because Wigan decided to give up tackling for the last 30 seconds of the game. Which is completely dependent on the players. No luck concerned there as far as I can see.

They didn't decide to - it was obviously accidental. It was unlucky when it occured and where on the pitch it was.

You do realise don't you, that every try, and every point for that matter, in every single Rugby League match that is played, is always down to a mistake of some sort from the opposition player. How can a try be scored for example, without a player not making a tackle?
You know that, right?

But surely that means every missed tackle is a fluke? There is no luck involved in running to the line and having a player drop off you. That's down to the conditioning and technique of the tackling player. There was no luck there it was a good piece of play by Leeds. We did a set play and Wigan missed their tackles.

It's unlucky that it occured in the last minute right on the tryline as opposed to in the 50th on the halfway line.'"
Whilst I’m sure we can agree about many aspects of the game, the interpretation of ‘luck’ has become a sticking point, therefore I’m off to buy some beer.
Stay lucky .

I'll follow this guys lead and end my argument.
Obviously i'm the only person who sees my point so it must be wrong, Leeds weren't lucky to win that match.

There ae plenty of drop goals that aren't down to opposition mistakes.
