I thought he did OK. When hulls forwards were on a roll, Penny's team mates lost all interest, im not sure what people were expecting him to do. Score ten maybe? Give the kid a break. He made mistakes, people do. Look at raynor, responsible for two wire tries, and hes the current GB number 1. I can remember Yeaman being taught a lesson by Gleeson when he was at saints, mybe this game will do the same for penny.

If I was offered him by warrington, Id bite their hand off. The guys got enormous potential. It just needs nurturing!

If both Raynor and Penny came onto the market now for the same amount of money I'd go for Penny. Raynor is coming to the final years of a very average career whereas Penny is just starting a career that may not even be average but I'd be prepared to take that risk instead of taking a solid Raynor for the next three years or so.

If winning and scoring in a chalenge cup final, playing in a superleague grand final and scoring the winning try against the aussies is your idea of an average career, then most superleague players may as well give up now. Id class that as a pretty good career.

It is typical of certain fans from certain clubs along with certain members of the UK media to bull certain players up well before they have done enough to deserve it. At the moment he has done nowhere near enough.

I have no opinion on Penny other than he clearly has pace and is very sensitive to the colour of his skin. As someone else has eluded it's best to wait a while to see if the fuss is justified. I suspect it isn't but we shall see.
