| Once the game was up today Wigan got very petulant and dirty. I don't expect the RFL will grow a pair and do something.

| I see his brothercousin Hock was up to his usual thuggery today. Last chance saloon most people thought he was in, well everyone except Wigan who gave him a 4 year contract. Then he goes and does that. His season HAS to be over after that and young Sam was up to his usual tricks.

| Quote: Dunbar "As soon as you start using disallowed tries as an argument for international success you know you are on a losing wicket
Jarryd Hayne has scored 5 tries in 10 test matches (three of which were for Fiji) and Sam Tomkins has scored 7 tries in 8 test matches and yet you are using Jarryd Hayne as a comparator to show how Tomkins is ‘not on the international radar’ at this point in his career
So, to sum up... Tomkins is younger than Hayne, played less test matches and scored more tries. A perfect example of how Hayne proves Tomkins is not on the international radar
Do you really think that is a compelling argument?'"
Either way, his reputation is from the domestic game not anything spectacular at Test level. Tries are easier to come by in England as half the teams are making up numbers and have no chance of winning anything even before the season starts.
Its a competion of haves and have nots with a few wannabes thrown into the mix.
I do not like Tomkins style or makeup or the way he plays the game, its that simple, there is gamesmanship and there is rubbish, he is the latter big time.
I will never be impressed with any of his abilities because of his style or lack off style.
He will be found out again in this years Quad nations, he is nowhere near as good as the English fans rate him, then again the English fans have had the English Forward Pack as the best in the World for around 5 years and that has never been the case on game day.
The toughest game in last years series was the draw between NZ and Oz in their first game by some distance.
England always rate their players like Roby, Peacock and Pryce far higher than they actually perform at Test level.

So basically, England has to win the Quad Nations and Tomkins has to be our man of the tournament for you to recognise his ability? That's just silly.

Not at all.
If he stopped all his rubbish in games it would be a good start.
Looking at his game against Warrington and other games I have seen he Crabs across the field to often going backwards.
It appears he cannot pass the ball consistently, some of the mistakes he made just in the Warrington game suggests he has plenty to do before he is amongst the best players in the World.
Does he have to be man of the match and England win the quad Nations? that's unlikely and not what it takes.
Playing a clean game and setting up and scoring some points against genuine world class opposition would be a start.
If I was picking players from all available to play in my team he would not be in the top 6 fullbacks in the World.
As far as top players go he is not a Benji Marshall, Darren Lockyer, Jonathon Thurston, Cam Smith or Greg Inglis.
He may get there but he is a long way from the finished product and the chances are he will self destruct on the field (almost weekly it seems) and be disliked by so many that he will go to Rugby Union and disappear from the Radar in either code
A Coach I always admired, Jack Gibson never put up with rubbish from a player on the field regardless of his status or ability, any dirty or rubbish stuff he hooked him off the ground and generally got rid of that style of player.
Eh, its only my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

The point you are making here is miles away from our original point of disagreement which was you stating that Jarryd Hayne (who is one year older that Sam Tomkins) demonstrates that Tomkins is not on the ‘international radar’ – despite Tomkins having scored more tries in fewer international matches than Hayne
I suspect that you are now attempting to win this one through attrition tactics

You are right Dunny, you win this one.
I hope Tomkins has a great Test series and proves me wrong.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| On SuperLeague SuperMen last night he said he liked watching Jonathon Davies (as well as Langer) when he was a Warrington fan. Tomkins would have been about 4 when Davies played for us.
Liar.

Did you not have a favourite player when you were four?

| PR stunt worked for him last night-I’m sure behind the camera Madge and Ian L were stood there
Check the questions before the show (not overly committal) and ensure he answers them well whilst also apologising for the V thrown at Leeds fans
