Hang on, We've had 1 season crack of the whip in SL, We've put everything we were able to do so in place, and now you want us condemned? I've nothing against Leigh my @R$£. Why don't you offer Catalans a place in SL instead of your team and keep the M62 corridor expanded?

Just my own personal opinion pal. In my eyes they are the probably either 4th or 5th in the World (not hard in terms of RL like!) but I feel they bring more to the International game than some countries. They are a true French side. Unlike say Scotland who are made up of English players, or Samoa who are made up of people who have played international for Australia. The majority of the nations in the 2013 WC (excluding England, Australia, New Zealand and France) were made up of people not from their nation.

For me France and PNG are the ones outside the top 3 who are at least playing their 'home' players in more than just qualifying. Yes France do get battered by the likes on ENG, NZ and AUS. But for me they are getting stronger and that is down the Catalan being a professional SL side. Hopefully Toulouse will join them and improve the French player pool even more so!

Leigh because on the evidence not provided Catalans hasn't done much for the French national team, and it would prove that no one outside the game would bat an eyelid if they stayed or went down:

I don't really feel anything towards them. Just a small club from over the hill. Don't wish them any ill will, but if they where relegated, Super league wouldnt suffer for it.

Look, Leigh haven't been given the opportunity to build, and be a bigger club,one season isn't enough. I hope Leigh stay in SL, not just because it's my team,but i believe we will grow as a club and compete better. WE put 50 on you lot twice last year,so we certainly have the potential to get bigger.

Well yes, to be honest I would say that, subject to them keeping reasonable crowds (say 7k+), an academy, and maybe a minimum number of France-eligible players in the 17.

Whereas your own view which is clearly biased in favour of your own club, is balanced and well thought out and could only be for the good of the game as a whole
Sorry, but, Catalan offer more to the game than Leigh, unless you want to shrink the game into the M62 corridor and probably revert to RL in the UK, sorry, Yorkshire and Lancashire, becoming a semi professional sport.
A French club (Paris) were brought in help sell the TV rights to Sky.
Based on this logic, Sky would be within their rights to cut funding for the "inferior" product that we would have (should Catalan go down).

As I said previously, all of the advantage is with Leigh.
Home advantage, favourites with the bookies and you only have to get past a team coached by McNamara.

Well iv'e already said that the structure will change for the 2019 season with more SL teams likely to be in it,so would one season make a difference if they went down to re establish themselves? Our owner has made it perfectly clear with the staff/players and fans if we go down,what our intentions,aspirations,goals, and player's welfare is to reassure that we can bounce back. Catalans will just have to do the same. One thing for sure is, i will support and buy a season ticket whichever division we're in.
