On the game itself anyone else think Wigan choosing to go for 2 was the turning point. I thought Wigan were on top and Leeds looking tired. It seemed to give Leeds the chance to rest and regroup for the last 20.'"
Definitely. It was the game changer.

i thought that was strange, as stevo kept telling us leeds were ready for dropping, but that just gave them time to regroup and recharge, poor decision i thought.

I said at the game that it was the wrong choice to go for 2. A four point lead is not enough of an advantage compared to two, especially against a team whose tries are almost always worth 6. With so much left in the game and with so much momentum going our way you knew at some point the tide would change and Leeds would score so we needed to try for a 6-8 point lead.

Was a terrible call, thought so immediately. Wigan were on top at that point and being 4 ahead rather than 2 wasn't worth it.

Yep, proved to be a game changer.
Why take 2 points to achieve a 4 point lead.
Kick to the corner and try to put the opposition to bed, very strange decision.
That and Leeds try from a knock on

I said exactly that at the time. I think going for two lets the other team off the hook. When you've got a team on the ropes you have to go for a try. Fair enough if you're two behind or twelve up, square the game up or make it a three try game. But to make it go from two to four points was actually pointless as it meant nothing. Leeds had to score a try at 2 points behind and had to score a try at 4 points behind.
Brisbane made the same mistake that bit them on the last week.
Also Wigan, notably Joel Tomkins, threw far too many silly one handed or chancy offloads and passes that didn't come off. They weren't smart enough for long enough or often enough. Plus Matty Smith looked out of his depth again, like he did in last year's final and for England in last year's Four Nations. He's not a top player and at the highest level, it shows in such a crucial position.
Then their game management in the final minutes was appalling for a GF. How can you have an overlap on the left wing and instead come inside to Clubb who was forced to kick it and it went over his head? Anyone connected to the NRL watching that would think "and that's their Grand Final?!? Okay...hahahahaha" and would switch off there ing themselves into the night.

| I said the 2 was the wrong decision for Wigan at the time. Leeds were desperate for the breather and used it to their advantage. The turning point was much earlier in the game for me though. When Matty Smith dropped the kick off following their first try it pretty much did for him for the rest of the game, in fact the only other thing I remember him doing was knocking on again from a Bowen pass he wasn't expecting.

I think that's a bit harsh to be honest. The play was in the last two minutes of a GF when very tired and desperate to throw the ball anywhere to try and get a score. What it does highlight is the Wigan halves are made up of one decent club player and a very promising inexperienced youngsters. Sinfield and Mcguire wouldn't have allowed it to happen.

I found the basic stats quite interesting. Wigan made more meters, Leeds more tackles and offloads were the same.
I'll stick with what I said at half time in that Leeds had that bit of luck you need with a few calls and the odd bounce of the ball going in their favour.
