Jack Walker is the exception not the rule in terms of players developing into Super League players. Despite this Leeds had, and still do have another Full Back in Ashton Golding. My original point was Super League clubs don’t put inexperienced 18 year olds as first choice first team players. This was the case in 2018 when Ashton Golding was given the number 1 shirt.

It's not a case of age, but whether a player is good enough. Walker is the exception rather than the rule in that he's young and not looked out of place in SL, and fwiw I rate him over Golding.
I cannot see the Senior's in a starting line up until there's a crop of injuries, but if they keep grasping their opportunities they will do in time. It's also hard for youngsters to remain consistent week in week out, with Harvey Livett being a good example this season, and he's 20. We desperately need a reserves or under 21's for players to continue to develop once they no longer qualify for under 19's.

WRT to Walker and Golding neither would really have played much in 2017 (and possibly 201icon_cool.gif if Hardaker wasn’t such a problem that we had to eventually let go mid 2016.
