My apologies, I forgot that he completely skipped that rung on the ladder and went to Director of Rugby, although I thought that he did take on the role prior to Furner joining.
However, the point still stands on what the hell gives Sinfield the right to tell Someone like Bennet whether he is good enough for the GB/England job.
I know this is immaterial now, as Bennett is to finish after the game on Saturday but, for a player to go straight into upper management, with limited experience in coaching is pretty poor for all concerned, not least for Sinfield himself.

Sinfield has a Bsc in Sports and Exercise Science and a Masters Degree in Sports Business Management, he didn't just go from playing with no qualifications into management. Being a coach is not a prerequisite to having a management job within sport, Karl Fitzpatrick is CEO of Warrington Wolves, John Wells is DOR at the Tigers, I'm really not sure what issue you have other than some dislike of Sinfield perhaps?

A degree is evidence of study, research and knowledge used to create a thesis to evidence the three key elements of the degree. A degree is not about ability or capability of being able to do or a particular task. You can have a masters and still be poop at the actual job.

Sinifield was an exceptional player throughout his RL career.
game as yet he has not shown a natural flair for administration and management and it could be that he does not have coaching ambitions. I'd say as ambassador for the RL and sport a fine example his new career still to prove his worth.

I thought he did some interim coaching between BM and Furner., I definitely remember him being on the touch line looking like he was gonna blow a fuse on a number of occasions.

Just looking it up, he coached 12 games in 2018.

Not sure what he did at that point was actually coaching, I do believe someone held his hand.

James Lowes was the interim Head Coach, Sinfield has only held the position as DOR at Leeds
