People don't like Man Utd because of their success. If Leigh have a football equivalent it's more like Millwall.

I think that "we" might have had differences in the past wrencat but I must agree.

While DB has helped turn the Leigh Club around *with Paul Rowley* this sort of thing will get under the skin of opposition fans. A little humility might go some way to reconcile the differences.

With regards to Leigh/Wigan, apart from living in the shadow of an admittedly bigger more succesful club, the issues run deeper & can be found in both history *miners strikes* & the Wigan Councils treatment of Leigh (compared to actual Wigan towns) currently & over decades. It is worth remembering that Leigh has not always been part of Wigan.

Man City/Man Utd .....

as a Mancunian & adopted Leyther my first love was always United. It is a Myth as someone else pointed out that Mancunians only support City.
I used to be a bus driver, regularly driving through Rusholme & near to Main Road, even back then the shear number of Posh 'Hoity Toity' Student City fans was phenomenal, possibly even worse now, it was as plain as day that these were NOT locals.

Man United conducted an internal survey of all season ticket holders a decade or longer ago & based on the addresses of the registered holders found that circa 90% lived within a 10 mile radius.
Can I prove any of the above ? No .... so don't bother asking folks.

Sorry...I don't understand you.
I took the post to mean there was a comparison between Leigh and Millwall fans. Many would associate Millwall with violence and racism.
It was quite easy to find recent examples of bad behaviour of fans from other clubs in our game.
Like other clubs Leigh probably has its share of idiots. The examples I pointed out are on a different level.

I quite like the 2016 Man Utd & my dislike of the successful version was more a personal hatred of Fergie rather than the club. Chelsea are the football side I hate.
As for Leigh, I like to see them do well against Super Duper League sides but realise they are the championship team to beat so every loss increases my own sides chance of being successful. Fev are the only RL side I truly hate

People dont like Leigh because not only not as good as Batley they are not as good as London

I reserve my dislike (not 'hate') for Liverpool FC (not a set of fans in world with a bigger sense of entitlement,plus hugely sanctimonious to boot), and the Pies.
