From a neutral perspective (Salford fan)I think the 2 matches he got was fair punishment. Tamou's response to Galloway (while a bit girly) wss warranted... though would've been better if it was a proper dig or at least a more manly square up! Garbutt probably thinks it's a punch so I've no problem with him wading in with a (very nicely executed ) right hand. RFL decide to give him a 2 match ban.... fair enough so let's move on.

I'm pretty sure I remember that Senior landing the mother of all cheap shots in a Challenge cup match many moons ago. He might even have been playing for Sheffield at the time but swung a rabbit punch at the back of a melee and got off scot free!

Wish there were more flare ups these days, gets the crowd fired up and might be a better alternative to whipping up an atmosphere than those s0dding drummers that most SL clubs seem to have these days!

Indeed, it happened about a metre from my very young eyes, looking through the railings (I was too small to look over them) at the Wheldon Road end. There was a bit of a fracas in the in goal area and Senior just belted BJ Mather, breaking his jaw. BJ was unable to continue and Senior went on the score two tries in the centre channel BJ would have been defending. However, given BJ's defensive shortcomings, Senior would likely have scored more had he not put him out of the game.

Leeds fans wanted him banned for an appropriate length for REPEATED punches and his ban of two games (same as Garbutt) was leninant.

Wardle and Ablett had a spat, Wardle smashed Ablett, Ablett took it, Wardle rightly got a red card and a ban.
Garbutt had nothing to do with the spat between Galloway and Tamou.
