| The thing I noticed if we are talking a head to head against Raynor was how much extra work Raynor went looking for. I cant really remember Penny looking to run from dummy half in the centre of the field..

I wouldn't want a winger as young/light as Penny taking many hits down the middle.

| He did more than you're giving him credit for. He took high shots/digs early on in the game from you thugs . And with your players marking him it with giving other players the chance to break.

thugs??
14 penalties and a sending off from wire suggest the opposite!!
All around the chest the tackles he took because if people like kingy and carvell go head hunting against people as slight as him he wouldnt have been getting up!

I'll ignore the first part, as you are simply a sore loser with primrose and blue blinkers on.
He was marked, yes. He has developed a small reputation as being a player that, given space, will exploit it. We did what a good rugby team does and didn't give him space. Wire didn't make many breaks all game.

Age means nothing. If you're good enough, you're old enough.
If he's not gonna do the work, he's not that good a player (yet).

To be fair, Raynors work ethic has come from a greater number of years experiance (and also playing outside Yeaman therefore he has to go looking for the ball as he rarely gets a pass from him )
Penny never really got into the game yesterday which was credit to Hulls defence and closing down from kicks. It was clear Penny has good pace from his retreats to collect the long kicks. This does however display a degree of poor positional play. Experiance will improve this.
I would like to see him in a foot race with Paul White from Wakefield as I personally think he is the fasted I have seem in SL for many years. The major down side with White (and Penny on a number of occasions yesterday) was ball retention. They might be fast but they are not the next Offiah yet. More like a modern day Brimah Kebbie (Sp).

There was one return in the second half when he took a real battering from King, got up, was hit by another of the big forwards, got up again, then was finally clattered. Not bad for somebody who was shirking work.
It is getting tiresome that whenever Penny plays now, we have the fans of the opposite team criticising him because he is not some sort of amalgam of Dally Messenger, Brian Bevan, Ellery Hanley, Gorden Tallis and Mal Meninga. He's Kevin Penny - a young, exciting, inexperienced winger who is learning fast in the most maddeningly inconsistent rugby league team in the country. He'll have good days; he'll have bad days. In a couple of years, we'll know whether the fuss was justified.

An often quoted maxim.
Still utter bollox, though.

Correct, One is a number.
So is 2, which coincidently was the number of handling errors from Penny yesterday

| he seemed to touch the ball a lot for someone who didnt do anything. after hull had the gae won i wanted warrington to hoof the ball down field and let him chase it, they never though
he was getting driven back a bit, but when he had the ball he was all alone being left to get clattered whilst the rest of his team just trotted back waiting for him to do something.

The same amount as the 'experienced' Gareth Raynor :wink type thing:
