| I'd love to know how Eddie thinks a ball that goes 5 meter backwards is a knock on.
Cas finally in but Saints will be gutted with that defence.
and again, that was a good try from Cas.
Interesting that Cas seem to be making more yards down the middle than Saints.

| good try that from Saints a man down and on the first tackle.
Saints will take that. Thought Atelea Vea had a solid game, along with Makinson and Jones.

| We looked very tired, hardly surprising given last week. A low ebb performance from us, seemed to want to do just enough to get by, and that seemed to be the case. A wins a win as they say.
Ref evened it up in the second half to say the least...

| Gritty win by Saints after being hammered last week and only having 5 days rest against an energetic Cas side who have had a 2 week preperation for this game.
It was always going to be a patchy game from saints when you have one second row playing scrum half and another second row playing centre.
Cas had lots of errors in passing and catching the ball which cost them a couple of tries.

| Personally feel Saints benefitted by having the extra game and this early in the season a 5 day turnaround isn't much of a deal compared to say later on in the season. Bearing in mind we're only two games in having a week off so early is going to blunt your match day fitness and Saints would have had a point to prove (I would have thought!)
Few iffy decisions but Cas haven't done anywhere near enough to be getting close to a win

| Thought Cas were the better team for large parts of the game to be honest. I think they're fairly unlucky to have lost 3 from 3. People were quick to write them off when they lost Clark, Huby and Sneyd but they've still got talent in every position and a great coach in Powell. I reckon they'll turn Wigan over next week.

I agree, they have done better than i expected regards how close they have got in the last 2 games, i guess they will still look at the Wakey game as the big let down where they would have got the points if they didn't clock off in the last 10. They always seem to run Wigan close especially at home so that should be a good game.

| I thought Cas looked okay. They were the better team for good chunks of the match just couldn't get over the line. Two forward passes, Carney's brainfart, Lomax getting his hand to Shenton's inside pass when guys were queueing up score, Solomona dropping it with the line at his mercy. Really fine margins and on another day luck would have been on their side and they would have won. I don't think Cas fans should be getting down on themselves, they look a decent side, just didn't quite happen for them last night.

| And one of those forward passes wasn't! Still don't think Cas were all that though. Much of their attack looked uncoordinated and clumsy, passes went behind players to no-one... Even though Leeds benefited from some dubious decisions in the first half (largely, though not entirely, squared up in what looked like an equalising process in the second half), I can't honestly say Cas did enough to win.

They didn't look super slick admittedly, but neither did Saints. Cas made loads more metres, more offloads, more breaks and had more of the ball. It just wasn't their night. Kinda reminded me of Hull over the last few seasons. Compete well in every area of the game, but can't find a way to score.

| On the one hand I don't think Cas did enough and often looked in disarray with ball in hand close to the line, although they looked better organised in th second half.
On the other hand they were well and truly up against the ref. Some awful decisions, although the one he got right in binning Amor is of course derided by Sains fans lol
