Saints turned down the opportunity to compete the year after Bradford won.

Bradford won it in 2002, beating Wasps 42-14 in the final.
Oh and don't be stupid. Any Superleague side could send a team that would beat any English union club. Rugby Union (and especially the English brand) is just not suited to 7's. |

yeah maybe but i doubt wether he would like rucking... as it plays a big part in 7s these days.!!
I think Ma Nonu and Jamie Roberts would do a lot better., but then there not 7s specialists neither.!
7s have changed a lot of the past 3/4 years.
The players that play on the circuit are sevens specalists you can get whoever you wont from league to play a 7s world select and the union 7s team will win 9/10.!!
Take a look at the welsh 7s squad that won the world cup last year. I doubt you have heard of any of them.! |
