Don't see your point. I made comment on a Leeds player, 2 Wire players and 2 Wigan players, comments that were hardly stringing anyway.

Not until he starts showing some consistency and works harder in defence

Did Danny Kirmond arrive at your club as a specialist winger?

| this is all well and good to have the debate, but is anyone expecting anything other than the same old team when 4N comes round in November?

Page 3 of the thread before someone mentions Kyle Eastmond! Even Kevin Penny got in there on page 2.

he had been a winger at Fev but immediately when he was signed Jon Sharp started developing him as a second row. he plays best coming off the bench but will put a bit of weight on and i can see him being as good as Jon Wilkin, strong, quick and determined plus is a good ball handler.
he could turn into a very special player

I am - from the world cup squad I don't think there's much chance at all of Wellens/Gardner/Senior/Newton/Sykes/Westwood/Langley etc getting a game.
At the moment I'd go:
Lee Smith (if he doesn't head off to RU, Briscoe otherwise)
Ainscough
Gleeson
Shenton
Hall
Pryce
Myler
Graham
Moore
Peacock
Burgess
Hock
O'Loughlin
Morley
LMS
Roby
Tough one: Crabtree/Dowes?

'" I do and he's been our stand out player probably.
He's kept up with Keef for 11 tries and looked pretty pacy going the length of the field on Sunday.
If there's been a more complete young British winger this year I've not seen him. 5th leading metre maker in the game, 2nd most clean breaks and a massive appetite for work out of dummy half.

I've been impressed with Hall - he has that 'natural athlete' look about him that so many of the aussie backs have. Seems to of sorted out most of his silly mistakes as well. Watkins looks the same as well - how do leeds fans rate his performances this year?

Looks good for three or four years down the line, with Owen, Ainscough, J.Tomkins, Clough, Gibson, L.Smith etc waiting in the wings.

34439.jpg winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Put Hock on the bench in the last position and bring Ellis into the send row and i'm with you although i'd be very suprised if Tony Smith was bold enough to pick a team like that.
It's along the lines of where we need to go though.

Atkins as been outstanding this season, fair enough he didn't have to best of games against Bradford on Saturday. His overhaul consistency this year should give him a shout. One good thing about Atkins is his physical presence, you have to think who ever plays in the centre against the Aussies is going to have to go up against big guys like Inglis and Falou.
It looks like Wakey are going to get no representation yet again despite having such a good season so far. I'll give my case for a few of our players that we should consider.
Dale Ferguson; An outstanding young prospect that has a massive work rate and some talent with the ball he has played consistently well all season and deserves some kind of recognition. At Hull KR he managed to get through an amazing 60 tackles, I think that says it all about his work rate.
I know a lot of you will laugh at this but Oliver Wilkes has been outstanding with his hard running and defensive work. Most importantly he has been consistent with. He will probably never be taken seriously because of his previous playing record. This guy is at the top of his game at the moment and can do a job as long as his form remains consistent.
Richard Moore could also be considered but I feel it is little too early to step up to International level after just recently coming back from a bad illness. If he can continue his consistent form from the last two season he should be a cert for Autumn Internationals.
Away from Wakey, one player that is playing outstanding at the moment is Jordan Tansey. He performance over the last few week for Sydney Roosters have been nothing short of outstanding. Still at a young age if he can keep his place at the Roosters, it would be nice to see him give Wellens a run for the number 1 shirt. It can only improve you as a player to be playing in the NRL.
