| And the evidence to show this to be the case is? Or is that your assumption?

| Quote: Starbug "So it was either blackmail ( by the other clubs, what a nice bunch they are ) or bribery ( by Mr Kahn , that any idiot could have told him wouldnt work unless he had the funds to more than match it, not in loans but in donation format ) , so either way, tough
If as you suggest, the ' fans ' ( a loose term in this instance ) of Bradford would not support a RL club outside SL ( as other ' lesser ' clubs fans have done ) then they dont deserve any club
I dont believe that to be the case, and you insult them in suggesting it'"
I'm not defending the RFL or other clubs in taking that money, it was selfish, short-sighted and stupid.
And I'm not saying no one in Bradford would go see the bulls in the lower league, I'm saying the club is set up as a professional entity, it wouldnt survive with a pro set up in a semi-pro environment. It would be destroyed. It couldn't survive in Odsal playing in front of 2k, they couldn't pay for an academy, they couldn't pay for marketing to grow. They would end up as at best, as a struggling championship club renting horsfall. They would likely never be pro club again.

So it was an OFFER, you said it wasnt, make yer bloody mind up, so Mr Kahn OFFERED a BRIBE to the other clubs to still get £ 650,000 that he would have lost
Aint SL just great

I said its as the price they had to pay to stay in SL, whether it was offered or asked for is a distinction without a difference. Bradford weren't staying in SL if it wasn't made.

| Quote: Starbug "TOUGH'" its not tough. It isn't a fact of life, it isn't an unavoidable consequence, it's greed and schadenfreude. There is no need to relegate Bradford, no need to take money from them over two years, none of it is necessary or unavoidable.
The only people who supported it either monetarily benefitted from, or were sad, bitter fans of lesser clubs.

Interesting comment from the former Salford Directors on the Bradford Administration:
A question was asked from a fan about administration.
"Why was it that during the recent Bradford Bulls financial difficulties were Bradford able to hold onto their playing assets, whilst Salford who are yet to enter administration, have already sold the backbone of their squad?"
John Wilkinson answered that he thought Bradford were being supported by the RFL and Bradford Council, especially since the RFL had a vested interest due to owning Odsal Stadium.
"The owner Omar Khan has a lot of money for only having two or so restaurants, and I also believe Bradford council and Gerry Suttcliffe (Bradford MP) must be financially supporting the Bulls but that’s just my guess."

You know that if I say SL clubs were greedy, there isn't much point in you saying 'NO SL CLUBS WERE GREEDY' I'm not sure what the caps added

| Some people on here would do well to read the administrators initial report, and subsequent progress reports, into the Bulls' affairs.
The initial report provides details of how they arrived at the point of going into administration, including such gems as :-
1. Seemingly not realising that selling the lease was a VATable transaction and being surprised (and not having set aside the money) when HMRC expected their £250k VAT payment
2. The "innovative" season ticket scheme yielding an average of only £72 per ticket
3. Receiving £550k in advances from RFL between point of going into administration and Khan buying the club
The subsequent progress reports show Khan in a bad light, stating that :-
1. He defaulted on paying the agreed instalments for the initial purchase of the club
2. He kept money that was due to the old club (and thus the administrator) and the administrator had to launch legal action to get some of it back
3. He made several agreements on various issues with the administrator and reneged on just about all of them
The reports don't make good reading for Bulls fans TBH.

They added that it was the owners NOT the fans that took the money ,did any give it back? Mr Caddick perhaps? , or that nice Mr Moran?
