Also I doubt Batley get higher crowds than us, only Widnes in the Championship can match/better our crowds.'"
But Arsenal are associated with North London, and so the analogy doesn't work (didn't they originate as the "The Woolwich Arsenal"?). London football is just as regionalised as everywhere else, as I understand it. The fact that glory hunters from all over the capital might go there is irrelevant. On that analogy, Man United are an Essex side.
And given that you are "Broncos till I die", do you think you are best placed to argue keeping it as Quins RL?
Something is going wrong with Quins RL, and I hope you sort it out, but the line on the graph seems to be going only one way. What suggestions do Quins fans have to make it better, because you southern lot are happy to jump on the back of anyone who suggests anything, but not many seem to offer anything.

Mmm I think you are little short there, best I've done is Finsbury Park to Quins in 1 hour 35 mins public by transport, it took closer to two hours driving.

| As a team we haven’t been to successful in recent times-As a spectacle last year was woeful which hasn’t helped- McDermott during his tenure produced terrible rugby
Crusaders(or Quins) at home I suspect will produce most teams lowest crowd. No excuses we have concerns which have to be addressed, but a decent team to watch helps

The problem is people make suggestions that we need to move, as the location is all wrong, however no one gives any sugestions as to where we should move, and it's not so simple to just move as most stadia in London are football, and they don't want rugby 'ruining' the pitch. No offense, but I don't really understand how an outsider can know what's right for the club? Most on here seem to think calling ourselves London Broncos again and playing at some football stadium, will automatically grant us 10,000 a week and coverage all over London. It won't, in fact I think since becoming Quins RL we've recieved much more coverage from the local media, which is hardly anything admittadley, than we ever did under our "own" disguises. Anyway, to people in London, 'Broncos' is probably synonamous with American football rather than RL, so some think it's an American Football team.
As for my name, yes it is rather outdated, however I can't change that unfortunately. I'll support the club whatever thier name/guise for as long as they're around, as I have no where else to go watch RL anyway.

I don't think anyone is suggesting a return to Broncos. The club needs a genuine identity that will appeal to everyone, rather than just trying to appeal to Aussie ex-pats. Increased media coverage is probably because the club is a lot more professionally marketed now. However, there's probably minimal gain from it since almost everyone will think it's relating to Quins RU.

Widnes got 3,155 in the NRC against Rochdale and we're only 3 1/2 years old.
1,766 is a shocking attendance for super league no matter if your 1 day old or 132 years old. It's indefensible!

Official figures are probably about right. Not many from crusaders. Good atmosphere - Quins seem to have appropriated every other song, including 'Marching on together', which was odd. Look out for a London version of Old Faithful and 'When the patchwork robin goes bob bob bobbin along'
It seems my London travel experiences are being somewhat dissed. I lived there for 3 years at different points, and my missus lived there as long and in different places. Why would I make this stuff up, for freds sake?

| I am also curious as to why a trip to Batley to see your team play them is such a bad thing.Unless of course the poster is suffering delusions of grandeur and places like Batley,Dewsbury and Rochdale are shat on their shoes.

| Quote: headhunter "Increased media coverage is probably because the club is a lot more professionally marketed now.'"
In what world have you sen this incresed media coverage? Metro ads are hardly the sign of a Media Genius at work? The professional marketing person (who is now leaving because her previous employer who took her on has also left) did pretty much nothing to attract fans in 2010. The club (and this person) described 2010 as having a "Massive Marketing Campaign"....not sure about you, but a viral video seen by about 3,000 people and 5,000 train ticket wallets handed out across town in the Docklands region arer hardly going to have Sir Martin Sorrell knocking on her door trying to employ her In LE last year she blamed the lower gate for the WCC warm up game on the weather, travel problems and because the dog ate her homework......promised the world, delivered nothing!
The club has asked the RFL to help with marketing and promotion.......the marketing manager is not being replaced like for like, but instead we will have a PR and Media Executive....let's see what happens in 2011...I would hope to see a 4k average as a minimum but I won't hold my breath.
As for the name change...tie in with a union side...stupid jersey argument.......3,681 was the average gate over 4 years when we were the London Broncos, playing in either red or blue jerseys with no connection to a union club.......3,652 is our average as Quins RL over the last 5 years........so I would suggest that argument holds no water....29 fans

As the crow flies, it's about 7 miles away. To get there, he had to leave at 6am, walk to a DRL station, get a train across the river, get an overground train, then get two buses. It took over 2 and a half hours.
As he pointed out afterwards, he was doing a course in SE London so he stayed with a mate in east London - sounds simple, but in travel terms it was like doing a course in Coventry, and staying with a mate in Preston.
Quote: Wembley71 "Which is a long way of saying'"
it's no different to when PSG played at the Charlety which is south Paris - I travelled from east Paris on the Metro plus train passing through the same system of small towns and it used to take me about 90 minutes - but if it's to support your club or just to watch a decent game of RL then it's worth it - plus FWIW PSG used to attract more than 1766 spectators in their short lifetime !

....really? Not sure of the exact figure, but it was sub 1,000 and is the current holder of the title of SL's lowest ever gate and it was in Paris. HTH
In 150 or so home games since 1999, the club has averaged 3,629 fans per game. That's over the stoop, charlton, brentford and the stoop again.....I would suggest that what the club is called, who they are sharing a ground with or what colour shirts they wear has little to do with the attendance figures......and simple failure to grasp the importance of marketing is the main reason for the poor crowds.
FTR....excluding Sundays game, these are the averages for all teams visiting London since 2000.....you will see that Crusaders wasn't expected to be a big draw.
Cru 2313
Salford 2639
Hudds 2872
Wakey 2,919
Catalans 2864
Wire 3660
Cas 3537
Hull FC 3731
Hull KR 3537
Bradford 3880
Leeds 4551
Saints 4759
Wigan 4762
Now, it's never been proved (because the club also fail to see the benefit of collecting data/contact info of fans), but I would suspect there is a direct relationship between the top 4 attended games being against the 4 most successful teams and the chances of a fair few RL fans from those regions actually being based in London. These fans, who will roll up to watch "their" local side are the ones we need to convert to regulars and get them supporting us as their second team.....
