| It makes this joke post I made a couple of years ago seem rather prophetic!
Quote In a shock move today, Bradford bulls have been bought by Asian food mogul Mr. Ram Jam Buttyman who has not only pledged to take the club into a new era of success, but to bridge links with the local community.
Mr Buttyman has revealed plans to build a super mosque which will totally enclose a 25,000 capacity all kneeling stadium. The soon to be renamed bulls will ground share with a local Kabaddi team and Mr Buttyman expects dual registration between some of the players. He commented that the Bulls appear experts at avoiding physical contact so they should make great Kabaddi players.
He revealed a revolutionary all new black latex one piece Burka as his home kit, and expects brisk replica sales in the city centre. The away kit is yet to be revealed but is thought to be equally forward thinking.
He commented that the new kit gave him the idea for the new team name – The Bradford Burks which he thought sounded rather catchy. He was also very pleased that coach Macca was changing his name to Mecca as a show of support. The coach commented “we can take a lot of positives out of this”.
PS this is just a bit of fun – absolutely no racial puns intended. I tried Bradford Kilts, ponchos and togas but they didn’t have the same ring about them.'"

Can we all get the RFL to pay are wages for the next month aswell - absolute joke this is

Hello? McFly?
It's our not are. But your lack of grasp of grammar aside, and I'm going to put this in nice big letters for you to make it easy to read; [size=200The RFL are NOT paying Bradford's wages for the next month. Bradford have asked for an advance on the Sky monies owed to all clubs and they are NOT alone in doing this. Several clubs have also done this both this season and in previous seasons[/size

Isnt there a fundamental difference in that with Wakefield we were on the verge of having the licences re-evaluated anyway, and it would quite clearly have been wrong to pre-judge that process.
Whereas Bradford are asking to fulfil the existing licence, and be judged in three years with everyone else. Hence the mention of SL clubs voting to keep them in.

| As for wanting to buy back the lease to Odsal, it seems funny that the people criticising the RFL for buying it are the same people criticising the Bulls for wanting to buy it back. They are ridiculous.
Its funny to see how certain factions are trying to use Bradfords plight
The RFL paying them the sky monies due becomes the RFL paying Bradfords players wages.
The owners asking for guarantees they wont be immediately relegated becomes the RFL guaranteeing Bradford a new licence
The owners asking to buy the lease for Odsal back becomes the RFL giving them it back for free

But if their continued tenure in SL is decided by a vote of the other SL clubs, how can the RFL give that assurance?
It's different but similar - giving them the nod is an admission that the democratic process that exists to make the decision is a sham, just as giving Steve Parkin the nod that WTW would be granted a new licence would reveal the lie of the application process.

Well, I'd imagine that the RFL would hold a meeting with the other SL clubs and they'd vote. In much the same manner they did for London a few years back.
