Heard a story on the car radio this morning about how serious the Roosters took this game. Apparently they were on a sleep regime and eating regime for a few weeks to help with jetlag and also paid a huge amount to fly everyone business class and organise special food and some form of machine for massage in flight.

Firstly, this Roosters side is miles better than that Cronulla side. Secondly, I’m no Saints fan but no other SL team gets within 8 points last night. Only a few rounds in to the new season but I haven’t seen anything that suggests this season is going to be dissimilar to last season in that Saints will top the table comfortably and go back to back. Hope I’m wrong and someone can at least make it interesting. |

as ever, two sides, any NRL side would demolish SL opposition. We are slow, we ruin the ptb, and it is boring. I wouldn't blame Sky for walking away. Look at the schedules, F1, Golf, Cricket, Netball, all take prescedence above RL. A tiddly winks final with a quarter of humbug at stake would beat the Sky coverage for the garbage SL serves up. |
