London will go down, but will fight all the way.
They would down already if Saints didn't rest players in their two home games.'"
If Sinfield didn’t give HKR Garbutt who’s been a big performer this season and then Parcell who got MOM on debut vs Hull then HKR could easily be at least a couple of wins worst off right now which would probably be too much left to make up and have all the other teams safe including Leeds. Masterstroke.

| Wakefield are a top 5 side these days aren't they? Who is to blame for them being down there? it certainly can't be themselves.
Oh how i'd laugh if it was them

Nah they're on a par with shudds atm, it's a good job we've beaten you three(3) times already this season or we'd be in a worse pickle than what we are in now, and talking of which If I'm honest it would destroy me if shudds actually went down and we helped do with those wins over you, I wouldn't laugh at your misfortune, no seriously

| Quote Barnabus="Barnabus"On the crapness scale, 10 being really crap, 1 being a bit crap, Wakey are at least an 8. I struggling to think of a single redeeming feature of the Wakefield Club.
Wakey were good in the 1960's I suppose, and I like Fifita, he's good.'"
You do realise that were the 3 clubs you suggest all drop from SL, yours would then be the crappiest by some distance.
As the phrase goes, be careful what you wish for.
It's strange that in the round ball game, stadia and attendances count for little and they worry about what is taking place on the green stuff.
Football is huge and has many faults but, at least the talk is about the sport itself.
RL could learn a lot from that.
Btw, why dont you include London in your hit list ?

Yep hilarious, just what SL needs is the best run club (off the field) with the largest attendance figures and huge corporate numbers to not be in SL.
I get that other teams find it funny that Leeds with all their success are in this position, and if we finish bottom under the current system we deserve to go down but I'd say be careful what you wish for.

I get your point but, as RL is supposed to be a sport, success should be measured by results on the field of play and not by your bank balance or attendance figures etc.

And if we get relegated then we will have been measured by our results on the pitch - under the current rules I've no problem with that, we would deserve all we get.
My point being it will not be a good thing for the sport at all, especially when we are just about to negotiate a new TV deal.

I'd already said I believe London will go down, but even so, I don't think they're quite as crap as Wakefield. Their youth production and work to promote RL in the South give them the edge. a 5 or a 6 on the scale.
Also, if a club was promoted to the premier league with a stadium as poor as Wakefield's, I'm sure it'd become as issue.

It's all relative though isn't it.
Compare turf moor to Old Trafford and the difference is far more stark than Headingley or the DW to Belle Vue.
Again, using the football analogy, the media build up the fixtures between the likes of Burnley v Man U but in our sport we dont.
Of course the top of the table clashes will always grab the headlines and football, at the top level has obscene TV revenues but, they dont try and deride their clubs and neither should we.
Again I believe that clubs like Leigh or Fev getting into SL should be welcomed just as much as London or Toronto but many, especially on this forum believe that their is a RL promised land on the other side of the Atlantic and yet, The RFL and Sky weren't brave enough to include Toronto (or Toulouse) in the top flight the last time their was a shake up of the league, which tells you all you need to know.
As I said, sport should always be about the contest

| Leigh, Toronto and Tolouse would all bring more away fans to us than Leeds have this season so not like we would miss out if Leeds went down.
However, I don’t think they will.

| Think Leeds are still very much in the doo doo with regards the real threat of relegation along with Hull KR, Wakey and possibly still Huddersfield. London are obviously also in the mix but of all the relegation contenders they have the least pressure on them as they've been the ones expected to go down before the season started. Many had them down to be relegated pretty much by the time June game around.
Wakey's slump in form at this time with few games to go is a concern and a tough run of fixtures against the current top 4 but also 2 against fellow relegation rivals.
Rovers you just wonder how much the late recall of Warringtons players affected them against Huddersfield and the knock on effect to them moving forward and again a faitly tough run of fixtures.
Leeds have enormous pressure on them to avoid the drop and the fact they are still very much in the mix with so few games left you have to say it a very real threat they face. Looking at their remaining games its a tough run in, lose to Huddersfield and it really could be disaster for them. Plus an away trip to London to the plastic pitch.
Huddersfield could be dragged right into the mix if the lose to Leeds and again have some tricky fixtures but they have 2 pts on the board plus a better pts difference currently so than all below them which is worth another point.
London have defied the odds and still right in the mix. Slightly kinder fixtures for them but 3 of them against relegation rivals. Less pressure and expectation on them which may well help.
Going to be very interesting the next few games.

| I think Leeds going down would be great for the game. The TV deal would be the same whether they're in it or not but imagine the publicity them being relegated would get and the increased exposure of the championship next season
