The Masoe, Lunt and Tickle tries, absolute basics! Pub teams would be embarrassed to concede those three. I get that Mead is a big name but is he afraid to tackle? Catalans had a dig against Saints but they were appalling here. The game wasn't a good advert for the sport.

They were up at the top in May '16 but finished a a considerable 10 points off of 4th by the end of the year and were 9th in May 2017 when they sacked Frayssinous, that's pretty much a year long slump he had them on beforehand.

They will need to rely on home form again this year. Clearly there was a huge difference in standard between their two away games and their home game against Saints. They seem incapable of travelling and playing well, which is a pretty damning indictment of their professionalism.

On this form, albeit it's only week 3 of a long season, it's difficult to see anything other than a bottom four finish for a team which on paper should be better than that.

I'd say 9th is a hell of a lot better than finishing 5th in the qualifiers having barely beaten two Championship teams and looking a million miles from winning a game at SL level.

They didn't play well against Saints, they defended ok but didn't threaten a team with 12 men and the two tries they did manage to score were both dummy-half barges.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. If they end up in the MPG, You'll all be shouting on here again that we need them in SL. 2 faced T@@@S the lot of ya.

I agree. Given teams usually have to hit the 20 points mark to make the Top 8 then they'll need to be pretty much perfect at home (10 games remaining now) and that'll be a tough ask not to lose anymore at home even if they play better there.

Cokey, we do need them in Sooper League, if they weren't...... it would be an absolute disaster ! I don't actually know why, BUT IT WOULD !!!

They'd need to finish 4th or 5th in the middle 8's for the MPG. Are they good enough to even get that high?
