These are just sympathy votes for a team that has improved because no one else has dominated. The Hull coach was minutes from the door after Widnes for underachievement with a team which has spent 'Big'. They won the CC, a cup that there relegated neighbours reached the final off some 12 months earlier. Since then they have reached there level which is not club of the year nor coach of the year standard. Player of the year I have no issues with.'"

Personally, I couldn't give a toss about who won MOS, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, etc. The only 'awards' that count are the GF, the Cup and the LLS (in that order).
But being pedantic, on what basis are Hull THE most improved side in the comp? If you're using League position then Hull improved five places from 8th to 3rd, Wire also improved by five places from 6th to 1st. |
