| I've seen comments blaming McGuire, saying he rolled himself whilst Sneyd was gripping on. McGuire actually had already planted his other leg to get up and play the ball, then Sneyd goes on his not so little roll.
I don't think Sneyd did it maliciously to Injure. He rolled to slow down the play the ball and tried to make it look like the tackle was still in momentum. However in doing this he did wrong and as a result has badly damaged McGuires ankle, who knows to what extent just yet. So even though he didn't intend for it to go that way he has still done it and therefore has to pay big for it. Rangi didn't intend to injure Ferrers, but he still did it and served 8 games. Sneyd should do at least the same.
Who knows, McGuires career could be over. Can he come back from a break and ligament damage? It would be in doubt.

| Quote Dave K.="Dave K."It was the same type of tackle, it was just unfortunate that for whatever reason (bad luck or previous injuries) that it McGuire has come off worst than Heremia did.'"
Clearly you're a Hull fan and an apologist for a despicable act, and you've got it completely wrong. There's nothing unfortunate about the result here, merely good fortune in previous incidents that the same didn't happen before. You grab someone's ankle with both hands and try to turn it 360 degrees and the ankle is incredibly likely to break.
Please stop trying to find ways to defend the indefensible.

| Tell you what, that's vile. They should throw the book at him. Forget what the framework says or what precedent says, ban him for the rest of the season and fine him a six figure fee.
Completely bizarre thing to do. I've never seen any sort of nasty streak in Sneyd, he was a player I held in very high regard, didn't see that in him at all. I would LOVE someone to interview him, ask him exactly what he was intending to do there?

Clearly you a Leeds fan, by the RFL guidelines it should be grade A-D so if he gets the maximum ban ( 5 games) then he deserves it, have not said otherwise.
I haven't defended him at all,

Careful, you'll upset big Dave. He's already threatened me with a PM for daring to speak out against angelic little Hull and their lovely players.

Yes I'm a Leeds fan, but that doesn't make me wrong. The RFL can (and imo should) treat it the same as they did Flower as it's not a standard bit of foul play. Flower didn't set out to punch an unconscious man any more than Sneyd set out to break an ankle, but in the moment they both committed acts that have no place on the pitch and the disciplinary should use their power to ban for as long as they see fit. Five games simply isn't enough.

| He will likely be charged with this (from the RFL sentencing guidelines):
15.1(i) Behaves in any way contrary to the true spirit of the game
Which is the broad scope that includes pressure on joints.
Which, as Dave pointed out does carry a maximum of 3-5 games but that is without aggravating factors.
Injury caused AND length of injury can be taken into consideration when it comes to aggravating factors, this can bump it up as the grades are guidelines only.
This is how Chase got 8 games - there were 2 aggravating factors on top of the cannonball tackle: previous record and injury caused.

Learn to read I never threatened you, I asked you to PM me with any more insults rather than bore people with your pathetic insults.

You also said you would 'leave in there'. I presume you meant leave 'it' there. I'll learn to read if you learn to spell.

Sneyd will be charged with the 13th one down on the list the one that mentions twisting the leg, chase was the one above which goes upto grade E.

This is the most sensible comment in the thread. Clearly a despicable incident.
