Steady on now...he doesn't speak for even a minority of us. For what its worth the tension value of that game alone made it entertaining. Its rare that any games in any sport with that much riding on them produce games of high quality. But tension can be every bit as important, and entertaining for the neutral.
As an aside, these two teams tonight should be grateful that London exist.....they both have a slight sniff of staying up.

given that 12 -v- 13 could very likely be Wakefield -v- Bradford, I think I have seen enough tonight without seeing either team again all year.

Worst televised game in recent memory, in front of a massive 4000 crowd now Wakey have stooped giving a ticket away with every £10 worth of shopping at sainsburys.
A real terrible advert for SL

| Smokey was always going to post a statement like that, given his utter abhorrence of everything related to P&R. He's the biggest troll on here and that's saying something!

| One swallow doesn't make a summer and all that, but you have to fear for Wakey on the evidence of that. Absolutely clueless in attack. It's just so reminiscent of Hull under Agar. Pass it aimlessly down the line until you eventually bore the opposition into submission, and if that doesn't work give it Manu (in this case Lauitiiti). The difference is at Hull he had a bit more quality to work with, and you could usually rely on a piece of magic by Manu or Briscoe.
I know it's only one game and Bradford didn't look too clever themselves, but there's real cause for concern there.

Apologies, I didn’t realise it was still so traumatic to you.
I sure I could have given many more examples, but that one still sticks in my mind.

| Huge difference in playing standards between the Wakey V Cas relegation battle of 2006 and the utter dross on show this evening between Wakey and Bradford.
The game is utter turd in comparison to even a mere half a decade ago.
That's the real legacy of the era of franchised mediocrity (2009-13).
Lots of hard work ahead to repair all the damage and turn it around.

One of the worst games iv'e ever seen live or on tv.
Quite possibly only surpassed by castleford vs bradford 3 or 4 season ago.

| Think we need to remember that both teams only played on Sunday. Definite nerves out here that was very low on quality. But I will take an ugly, gritty win right now.
Of course the trolls will be out and act like RL is the only sport that produces poor games. The chelsea/man u 0-0 game earlier in the year had me on the edge of my seat:...

Im sure watching a paint drying race would be exciting if my life depended on one outcome, but for the neutral it would still be an awful spectacle.'"
Like you say, depends on your perspective - it is by far and away the best RL game I have been to in my 20 years supporting Wakey (including GF's, internationals CC finals etc) . Packed in like sardines in a mixed crowd, against your fiercest local rivals, on the last day of the season when whoever loses gets relegated (many felt at the time that if Wakey went then that would be us out of SL never to be allowed back in and possibly going bust) - all in a night game under the floodlights? Absolutely unreal!
Didn't even notice the quality of the rugby, it was irrelevant as all that mattered was the 2 points.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane though, what a great day that was - definitely some mediocrity worth celebrating!

But it's true, no other sports produce poor games
I remember a Man City vs Man Utd clash from about 3 years ago that ended 0-0 that wasn't only the poorest football match I've ever seen but probably worst sporting contest I've watched.

Was it a relegation battle? Really? Two games into a season?
Read the thread title before regurgitating your usual nonsense about licensing.
One could quite easily argue that, as we are still in a licensing period now, licensing led to the rubbish we witnessed tonight. I don't like to steal sweets from kids though
