| What an event is was at the Shay! The capacity for this game was 10300 and the attendance was announced at 10266 so nearly there!
The Skircoat stand wasn't put on sale, it was used for the kids haka programme. South stand and east stand were rammed!
North had a capacity of 2010 also sold out.
Great game, great atmosphere, great World Cup!

If that's the case then it's a pity Halifax chose to reserve that stand as it was pretty much all we saw on TV. They should have done what other venues have done and reserved the stand under the cameras IMO.
Glad you enjoyed the game though. It was a belter to watch on TV. Pity Tonga had to bow out but they left it too late to show us their stuff I think.

| Fax, like a lot of other places, can be justifiably proud of its part in this tourney

| Thoroughly enjoyed the day at Fax. Two teams going going at each other in front of a packed crowd.
Tonight and Friday reminded me why I love this sport. When can we have another World Cup?

The stand was pretty full though. The only empty sections in the middle were roped off because of broken seats etc., not because of unsold tickets.
Great second half, especially considering the bitterly cold conditions. Fui Fui Moi Moi was immense.

| You can't have everything I suppose, but the format that has given us so many close games also means these two sides will miss out on the top 8 despite sides of lessor quality getting through.
Tonga paid for a slow start, but poor old Italy only lost one game, and that was a tough loss against a quality side.
