| Please see below an email received from the Etihad Stadium this morning follwoing my follow up e.mail.
Thank you for your email and highlighting this website.
Please allow me to clarify, Food and drink is not allowed to be taken into the stadium unless it is for medical reasons. Drinking however will be allowed in the stands, and also supporters will get a wristband or stamp allowing them to re-enter the stadium if they choose to leave to smoke or to skip a game.
I apologise for any confusion this may have caused.
Kind Regards
Dean

| I just hope Trawlerman's misinformation hasn't put off any prospective fans, although I fear it has since I've already heard these rumours started on another website.

| Bit disappointing about the food rules, will have to talk to our friendly GP ASAP for a letter for the older child.
There has to be a pass system as the fanzone & (non-rugby) entertainment is in city square.
The only thing the website doesn't make clear is regards city square. Is that Manchester (city square ) which is about 30mins walk towards the city centre?
Or is it (Manchester City) square which would be (hopefully)in the grounds of the Etihad stadium complex?

AFAIK City Square is the area behind the North Stand. There's some food and drink outlets and a big screen.

| Just to back up what's been said, here's the reply I got from the RFL;
"In reply to your questions re the Magic Weekend.
Does your ticket allow re-entry into the ground - i.e. watch one game, go out of the stadium and the re-enter to watch the next game or the game after?
A pass out/return system will be operated on both event days allowing spectators to move between City Square
and the stadium bowl. Hand stamps will be issued.
Can you take alcoholic beverages purchased at the stadium into the viewing area?
Alcohol purchased in the stadium can be taken back to your seats in the stadium bowl.
Can you bring your own food and drink into the ground?
You are not allowed to bring your own food or drink into the stadium, only for health reasons."
Regards

| It's a slightly shorter walk from Piccadilly Station. I think 45 minutes is an over estimate though.

I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

Doubt it. Walk to Piccadilly and get the bus from there. Failing that, "Charles" it up and get a taxi. It's only money.

| Cheers.
I got the 45 min walk from google maps.
I certainly wont be 'Charlsing' it, need to save my money for my £4 rat burger in the ground.

Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you y fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm
