My cul-de-sac too - 3 Wigan, 2 Wire, 1 Leigh and 2 i don't know. Live in Lowton.

But the difference is that my street is just a typical street in Hull. Oh, and I forgot the one Leeds fan, everyone hates him!

So how deep does this rivalry go?

I'm genuinely interested.


I went to the 'Old Firm' soccer derby between Rangers and Celtic... that was the most intense atmosphere I've ever experienced at any sporting event.

Those 2 sets of fans would shove knives in each other 7 days of the week at home, work, down the pub wherever and not bat an eyelid.

Ok at lot of it is sectarian based hatred in Glasgow... but surely the hatred between the Hull clubs isnt that bad?

Do people get bashed in Hull for wearing a rival side of towns shirt or is it more of a 'banter' type rivalry?

Probabaly just that, for me it's the same as the Everton Liverpool Derby, the city is split as are most families it's a very very strong rivalry.

It's 99% banter, I live in east hull and have my car covered in FC stickers and I wear my Hull top out and about and nobody really bats an eyelid.
There is the odd time that it spills over and there chairman doesn't do anything to help relations with his anti-FC rhetoric. But on the whole it's healthy. My brother is a dobbin. Even some of my closest friends are red and White. But on derby day I have no brother and my friends are inbreds with webbed feet.



The Old Firm is unique, it's religion based and tbh sometimes quite pathetic. I've been to 2, one at each stadium and they really do take it to another level.

I'm a Keighley fan so it can only be Br*dford.

They're 10 miles down the road for a start.

They copied Cougarmania and passed it off as their own innovation.

They colluded with the RFL and Sky to deny us our rightful place in Super League by changing the rules 4 weeks before the end of the season when we'd practically won the 2nd division.

The local council financed 1 refurb of Chav Catalogue Stadium already in the Super League era and were planning another. Meanwhile Cougar Park is falling apart and we get £4k per year off them and have to pay £3k of it back in rates.

I dislike them all

I'm guessing the 26 dislikes for Hull came from Hull KR fans.
