| Quote John S="John S"With due respect to all Wiganers I dont think Billy Boston's name would be recognised outside RL world although it would be a good choice.
I think it has to be a name synonymous with Wembley so Alex Murphy would be a good choice being carried on a stretcher and winking!!!!'"
 i'll go for that!

though I do like the statue at Old Trafford where they have 3 legends together.
So I'd be ok with Fox, Murphy and Hanley for 3 different eras.

| It has to be the person with the most Lance Todd trophies. Wembley is synonymous with the Challenge Cup final and therefore the player who has impact more on the finals should be chosen.
Sean Long is also a character that transcends the sports' traditional boundaries, often being a personality so vivid he made the front and back page of daily papers on the same day during his heyday.
He is also a very attractive and iconic figure that would lead to an increase in publicity for the sport. It would become a social alter, people would flock to it like they do to Graceland.

| How many Lance Todd's did Long achieve at Wembley though?
The statue should in relation to the venue, opposed to just the occaision. Sean Long has played at Wembley once.
Shaun Edwards for me, there's no other player he can even compete with his Wembley success.

| Have to agree with Hanley he would be my first choice.
Fox and Offiah are good ideas too.
For a new idea how about a status of Mike Gregory diving over the line in the 1990 final. That would be a good action shot.
