Hopefully we can keep that up with Celtic next up at the KC.'"
Thats impressive and something the RFL should aim for as a weekly average. Every week the average of the games should be over 10,000.

As great as that would be I think its a long way off happening. Only 5 teams are averaging over 10k this season and 4 teams don't even get as high as 6k on average.

the thing is what is there in Hull ?
a rubbish football club with a tangoman manager, a big bridge and loads of boats.
voted the worse place to live in England, high unemployment, high crime, the majority of housing stock being Terraced.
levels of disability and mental illness are some of the country's' highest.
Frankly im not surprised you get big away crowds i'd want to get away too.
Home crowds, well you'd need the escapism.

'" They should be your right, as I said at the start of the thread hopefully clubs see the sucess of the deal wigan did with Heinz and use that idea to help boost their attendances, the bonus being it seems Wigan got the money from the tickets (although I would guess not the full price but money they wouldn't have got otherwise)
Fans are half the problem though in a way, those who go to games complain if their club gives out free/discounted tickets because they have paid for them. Fans of other clubs will always have a dig about the freebies being given out but if it gets more people through the gates and clubs can afford it then surely its good for the clubs to do it? getting fans through the gates the first time is a good start to the clubs to encourage them to come back for more?

Its the main problem with RL IMO if all the grounds were full each week we would see other things start to fall into place.

| The Wigan crowd is a perfect demonstration of how those supporters who come on here and moan than "x didn't bring many away fans so we got a poor crowd" are talking out of their ar$e.
Wigan new that they'd have an end with 5,000 empty seats on Friday and yet, rather than sit on their hands and accept it, they went out there, got their marketing team working and came up with a great idea to get new people through the door.
Other clubs have done similar things for the same fixture, it really isn't that hard and if any club feels the need to [url=http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/s/204/204526_rl_french_boycott_salford.htmlblame away fans for their pitiful crowds[/url, then their Super League status should really be reconsidered.
