The Bulls were given a 12 provisional licence last January. Does anyone know whether that licence has been extended for 2014 yet?

He may have offered it to get a SL licence he was about to lose however even though he couldn't afford it and he didn't have the foresight/nous to see it.

I don't know, could it have been that Bradford were going to be kicked out and offered the money as an alternative? Could it be that there has been money put in by SLE that is being repaid? Both guesses as much likely as SLE deciding they could 'fine' Bradford £650k

If as you suggest, the ' fans ' ( a loose term in this instance ) of Bradford would not support a RL club outside SL ( as other ' lesser ' clubs fans have done ) then they dont deserve any club

It's the first one, it's the price Bradford had to pay to stay in SL, a pointless, idiotic punishment to the wrong people that damaged a member club.

Not actually another, just retain the last year of the current one , then the world of RL is plunged into disaster again

I'm not defending the RFL or other clubs in taking that money, it was selfish, short-sighted and stupid.

And I'm not saying no one in Bradford would go see the bulls in the lower league, I'm saying the club is set up as a professional entity, it wouldnt survive with a pro set up in a semi-pro environment. It would be destroyed. It couldn't survive in Odsal playing in front of 2k, they couldn't pay for an academy, they couldn't pay for marketing to grow. They would end up as at best, as a struggling championship club renting horsfall. They would likely never be pro club again.

I said its as the price they had to pay to stay in SL, whether it was offered or asked for is a distinction without a difference. Bradford weren't staying in SL if it wasn't made.

its not tough. It isn't a fact of life, it isn't an unavoidable consequence, it's greed and schadenfreude. There is no need to relegate Bradford, no need to take money from them over two years, none of it is necessary or unavoidable.

The only people who supported it either monetarily benefitted from, or were sad, bitter fans of lesser clubs.
