Once its built it will be ok. For one, I am not bothered about the colour of the cladding, the seats will be red and white by all accounts.'"
Will it still be ready for the WC?

| That's going to make such a big difference when it's done, any news on the other end?

| Talk in Keighley of redeveloping Lawkholme Lane/Cougar Park to include a 2,000 seater stand. This from their board-
Quote: burleycougar "I emailed Gary Fawcett about a couple of things , this is he reply
about the new stadium. I didn't manage to get to see the articke
in the programme so there maybe some repeats .
This is a direct copy paste from the email. 3 - 2 - 1 discuss.
Regarding the new stadium development it looks like the best bet is for it to be at Cougar Park with an integrated development with the cricket clubÂ
(a mini Headingley style development, if you wish). We've the backing of Bradford Council, Keighley Town Council, the Co-op (who own the ground),Â
the RFL, the ECB, Leeds City College and various architects/building firms. We've some very early plans on the table for a 5,000 capacity main standÂ
(with retail underneath) and a stadium capacity of over 10,000.Â
We estimate the cost of the development will be £7m to £10m and we are gearing up to put a £5m bid into the Iconic Facilities fund as a first step inÂ
July this year. Â We'll research and bid for other funds along with the partners above to bridge the gap as well as looking for private sector support onÂ
aspects of the build, e.g. Kone could provide the lifts free of charge. We'd look to deliver the new stadium within a 3 to 5 year time frame.Â
I hope this helps. As I said in the programme - it's early days - but our journey has taken it's first few steps.Â
We need to make sure we perform on the pitch though! Â Including against Hunslet today.Â
Many thanks
Gary

As a Keighley fan, I think most of us recognise that this is more dreams and hopes than mortar and concrete at the moment.
There was an initiative in 2004 called the Airedale Partnership that was trying to improve the infrastructure of the "Airedale Technical Corridor" and as part of this it was proposed that there would be an "Airedale Stadium" on the Keighley site. I think this all died a death when The tories put the knife into Yorkshire Forward.
I'm not sure if the Keighley board are trying to revitalise this or if it's something new.

'Yorkshire Forward' is still alive and well at Headingley, I believe.

About time! I bet their fans have been well annoyed they can't see the replay of no try decisions against them!
