So you basically follow a team fully of mercenaries? Nowt wrong with that. You enjoy your mercenaries, Toronto can enjoy their mercenaries. Everyone's happy.
Great news on Leigh finally setting up an academy last year. It only took 139 years  Using those epic timescales, Toronto have until 2156 to get their academy set up. |

Why drag up 19 year old news, Hull were struggling in SL financially and on the field until Gateshead rolled into town
As were SL sides Oldham, Workington, & Halifax, and look what has happened to them since....guess they needed Gateshead, but they chose Hull. ![]()

Anyway, 1 Leyther at Leigh. A Leigh fan having a go at a club that’s just 18 months old for not bringing through any youth yet, whilst having next to nothing themselves, is absolutely hilarious.

No I didn't, I mentioned their reserve grade (if they are having one) who says that one has to be full of local players, what I am saying is 'it's pointless'....when any players that aren't getting 1st team action, can just be loaned out, or dual registered. I'm not stupid, where would they suddenly find some 'half decent' Canadian RL players. A reserve grade only makes sense for a club with a 'catchment' area, and obviously that's not Toronto yet. In 2016 our reserve team manager told me it costs 90k to run one, and a lot of fixtures were being cancelled, due to other clubs not being able to field a team. |

Canoeboy, you are so full of ****. So you ignore the post which explained I wasn't having a go at a new team for not having a 'youth/academy' team....stop being jealous of Leigh Centurions because we have been in existence for a 140 years.  |

HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
