I thought this thread had died, I looked who has resurrected it after 4 days off and it is a Leigh fan, glutton for punishment or what?

After such a lengthy thread panning Leigh, it might be interesting to note that Featherstone players have been banned for a total of 7 games from this match, whereas Leigh have only got a solitary (and deserved) one game ban for Mr Hock.

I resurrected the thread because I am a fairly irregular visitor, because I hadn't read all of this thread & because it contains so much vitriol & drivel.
Sometimes you just want to put your own two penneth in & this time I did.

While it's fair to say there are valid arguments on both sides, some of the moronic
bandwagon 'I hate Leigh & their fans drivel' needs shooting down.

Anyway, I was driven to it.

I can't believe anyone "hates" Leigh unless the word "hate" has a whole new meaning. I suspect there are people who are envious of their recent success and those who don't like particular aspects of their approach to the game and, more likely, just masses of folk who are completely indifferent. There is a pretty long continuum between the extremes of Love and Hate and maybe we need to find some different language. My view is that Leigh have done a lot to raise the profile of the Championship and that may have longer term advantages for all Championship clubs regarding finance and sustainability. Part of the consequence of that is that they get mentioned a lot and it can't all be positive.

Calm it down son, we won't be having any of that common sense approach around here.

The Leigh players are thugs, and ask on the Fev banter page, the Leigh fans are thugs too!

While I am not surprised to see the club keeping in with the RFL,I was surprised to see another member of the coaching staff being complimentary about a referee before the next game while pointing out that they won a game after the usual discipline problems associated with Leigh Centurions.

I thought he said that teams are resorting to certain tactics against us and he hopes the refs create the environment for RL to be the winner, if they dont we are more than capable of looking after ourselves

When London lashed all over the cheats from Sheffield it was because the ref got pace on the game, so I hope this weekend is a game of RL that fans enjoy because that style of game is what showcases our product - possibly why nobody watches Sheffield is the style they employ
