No disrespect to Rochdale (they gave us a scare going into the 2nd half earlier in the season), but if we lose to them at home then we don't deserve a place in the top 4. Barrow have more chance, but need a bit of a softer pitch and I can't see them troubling London I'm afraid.

6 good teams in the Championship this year, Toronto out in front, but there's a gnat's hair-breadth between the others.

Gonna be some real tough matches in the middle 8's this year, Salford & Widnes are there for the taking - exciting times ahead.

As garbage as we are (and we really are), this is the first season since 2013 that we’ve finished below Hull KR in the league; we finished 7th just 2 years ago and 2nd in last year’s middle 8’s.

Over the past month, with our first team made up of 8-10 of our own club-trained academy players, we’ve played both Hull clubs and lost by 7 points and 2 points (also during this time our Under 19’s easily beat Hull’s joint academy team - part of an unbeaten run where we also beat Castleford, Warrington and St Helens).

There’ll be no complaints from me whatsoever if we go down this year, I’m promotion and relegation’s biggest fan, but maybe fans of clubs who aren’t actually that much better need to look at the bigger picture before consigning us to the Championship.

Every club have had injuries and missed some of their big players for chunks of the season. Widnes can't use this as an excuse to finish 6 points adrift at the bottom of the table. Its about managing your squad which i'm afraid to say that Widnes have failed to do. I hope you can put some form together in the 8s but managing only 3 wins all season will make it a tough ask. If you get Toronto or another SL team away first up in the 8s, a defeat may knock your confidence even further.

Widnes and Salford down, Toronto and Toulouse up is in the best interests of the game as a whole
