That was the example I gave my hubby last night when he came home!

The holding down was the 'right' thing to do, pretending to be injured so his side could take a breather and get ready for the final play was just typical of Catalans approach to the last 10 minutes of the game.

All teams are doing it now - it's a cynical exploitation of the referee's approach to player welfare, and is often used to take the energy out of an attack, allow the defence to regroup, and wind down some time.

I had this discussion with the Huddersfield interim coach on Twitter recently; he vehemently denied that RL players feign injury to gain an advantage - I think he was being either dishonest, or totally naïve.

It used to happen mostly during drop outs. A defender would kick or throw the ball away, another would drop to his knees, a couple more would take an age to get back behind the line. Now it's creeping in to most aspects of the game.

Thats another thing they were doing they were warned 3 times about throwing the ball away, maybe the ref should have been stronger in that aspect.

It's only a matter of time before we bring in a shot clock I think, certainly for drop outs. I'm surprised it has taken this long tbh.

Leeds very much in the relegation battle now, as are any team that are in that bottom 4 come round 23. Thankfully we know are fate now and can put all our efforts into preparing for the M8s.

Did any Catalans players murder anybody last night? It's just all i'm seeing on twitter is how they're a disgrace and should be banned from the league. I can only assume that some sort of homicide occurred that I am not aware of.

Yeah they fully deserved to win and won regardless but the last 10 or 15 minutes went so against whatever spirit we have in Rugby League that we can't just ignore it. I don't know what the solution is but clearly professional pride and not wanting the other team to sense your weakness or see you are hurt are no longer enough.

Some of there players played like somebody had tried to murder them.
