I'm ok with it not being a penalty try as there is a bit of doubt there with Richardson's presence but fully agree on it being a sin bin, that was an easy decision to make. The guy above saying there was no contact needs to visit his optician.

| Quote AS108="AS108"Widnes were good, the better team in parts but to play like that and still lose by 20 points highlights how poor they are. In all honesty they did get some tough calls go against them, on tries, but that was never a sin binning or penalty, Peyroux never touched Heremaia. I get people want the underdog to win but there were some questionable high tackle penalties as well that no ones mentioned. We were quite poor but won and no injury problems. Hopefully a Warrington win to give us a gap at the top but I’m not hopeful on that one.'"
If that was nt a penalty try's then we may as well scrap the penalty try option. Widnes scored straight after so it did not really matter, but that was a penalty try, he would have scored if he was not obstructed.

It was a dive worthy of a Premier league footballer.
He had over run the ball and a finger tip on the hip and he tumbles over.
Then a clear head shot to grace and no card at all.

| If it was the other way around then you’d all be saying the opposite, there’s zero contact. If Heremaia wanted to he could have ran for the ball and scored. Instead he threw himself to the ground, never in a million years a penalty. Peyroux literally doesn’t touch him if you watch it again.

You've just tripped yourself up by admitting Heremaia could've gotten to the ball, your lame excuse is that he didn't want to.

He over ran the ball, his feet were out of play before he took a tumble

And the feet first from Marsh during Morgan’s second try. Also thought there were Fozzard style high knees from Wellington before Whitley’s try too ...
I think as this thread is proving, Saints were never onto a winner on this one. I think the “I’m sick of talking about Ben Barba” from the commentary team summed it up.

Are you completely devoid of any sense? You clearly can’t read as I said he chose to play for a penalty by throwing himself to the ground. Anyone with any sense would realise that’s because he felt he couldn’t get to the ball so therefore played for a penalty (he could have got to it if he’d just ran to the ball).

So he could get to the ball but he decided he couldn't based on it sitting up perfectly in the in goal...ok then. I presume you know he felt he couldn't get to it based on him telling you.
I agree that earlier in this thread people were laying it on thick with saying everything was against Widnes when it clearly wasn't but Peryoux clearly put a hand on Heremaia. Trying to say the Widnes player chose to dive is pathetic.

As a Saints fan I would happily agree to that. I think what others are trying to say is that Heremaia made the most of the contact as he had over run the ball (and that’s why it should never even have been talked about as a penalty try) but the contact meant it was always going to be a yellow.
The most disappointing thing for me is we have an exciting young talent in Richardson whose really coming into his own in an area England are desperate for a superstar in and he barely gets a mention with all the ref scrutiny again
