i have just caught up after having to record the 1st half but the camera is really annoying there looked to be some big contact in that 1st half and you just don't get to see it. Also Wigan are steam rolling Huddersfield the defence in the 1st ten mins has layer out the rest of the game, i wouldn't say huddersfield was bad for the 1st 20 minutes they just ran out of steam.

I don't know, the likes of Hull, Catalans and Hudds previously have offered just as worst. Didn't we expand the playoffs because fans of other teams moaned that the playoffs were quite a closed shop before with the usual suspects always making up the numbers......well new teams got a chance at the playoffs and have continued to blow it in pathetic fashion year upon year.

You're not wrong. The decision to expand the playoffs from 5 to 8 was one of the worst of a terrible set of decisions on the structure of the league over the last few years.

It's made the regular season meaningless for most of the teams because there's no need to work for every game, and it's devalued the playoffs because we have to suffer several low-quality mismatches to prevent any excitement building momentum.

Huddersfield should have let St’s have the win last week & played Widnes at home.

Or maybe they were expecting Cas to turn over the French, so they had a trip Darn Lane.

Either way, a very poor effort tonight, but Wigan played extremely well.

They'd have had an easier time of it had they lost to St Helens last week, that's for sure.

In the grand scheme of things, Huddersfield would still be an irrelevance.

I'm just thankful that Wigan exist, otherwise Leeds would be 100% -taking certainties from 6th.

The thing though, had Hudds lost to Saints and finished 5th and had a 'meaningful' game this week against Widnes, I wouldn't bet against them f**king that one up too.

If they manage to win next week, does anybody fancy them to go away in the semis and win (especially if it's against Wigan again) thus highlighting the pointlessness of 'relaxing' this week as they have another chance.

Like I said earlier, Hudds might not be good enough to beat the likes of Wigan and Leeds when it matters and to win the GF......but they're better than what they showed tonight if they applied themselves properly.
