Rovers are getting hammered by the video ref

This is legitimately the worst video referee performance I have ever seen.

I've only seen the 2nd half but the potential ball steal over the line that was given as a knock-on I can understand as, despite the commentary team's protestations, you couldn't actually see whether the ball was stolen or dropped and the ref seemed to think it was dropped or he would've given a penalty as soon as the Hull FC man gained possession rather than allowing them to continue.

As for the shoulder charge, possibly a bit harsh but, like the knock-on, I can see why it was given since it was technically a shoulder charge.

Like I say, haven't seen the first half though.

What was wrong with the Hull KR try? Watching it with no sound...

He was stood in front of the play the ball which is classed offside if he takes part in that play at anytime.So that was actually one of the few correct calls made tonight TBH.

Ah fair enough. Still think Rovers have been hard done by. Green missed a sitter though.

Right team won in the end thankfully, a good to watch.

I'm assuming for the one in the first half with the kick he judged that because a hull kr hand touched the ball facing forward, simultaneously as it touched a hullfc hand, it rendered it a knock on even though it was the hull fc hand that propelled it away.

I'm assuming that the 'ball steal' one in the second half he judged the hull kr player was losing control/lost control therefore the hull fc player was entitled to take the ball as although it was resting on the body of the hull kr player, it was loose.

the 3rd one was a stonewaller, offside at play the ball.

That one in the first half was actually touched by Hall before Whiting.

There were some very difficult decision for the video ref tonight, but actually I think they got them just about right. The shoulder charge was a little harsh, we deserved to concede for putting on such a pi55 poor last tackle play, but again if you're going to apply the rules properly then it is the right call. The Caro offside one isn't even up for debate, and the ball steal over the line was really tough to call. Although as someone already mentioned the ref thought it was lost and he had a good view of it. The two contentious decisions in the game were Bowden's try, which I thought was a forward pass, and the drop goal, which was never touched.

I can't have any arguments with the result anyway. Best team won. We didn't even deserve a point tbh.
