| Quote Dettoriman="Dettoriman"A good first signing, And as said. Someone nobody had mentioned, Maybe all the smoke fired up in the press is masking some serious work finding players Brian Noble wants. '"
Most Salford fans have been saying this for a while now. All the speculation has come from the Media, stirring agents, or opposition fans. It doesn't help that a lot of RL fans bought into the media feeding frenzy. Our Chairman has confirmed at least four signings with others still ongoing, but he wouldn't reveal names. I think Koukash and Noble between them know how the media works and have deliberately kept future signings under wraps.

Not sure where he's going to fit in doing that defensive stuff though ...... that'll confuse the other Salford players if he tries to stop opposition players scoring
'"
Very good, that made me laugh. Not something us salford fans have done a lot recently

| Quote Biff Tannen="Biff Tannen"Its about as 'Marquee' a signing as any SL team could expect from the NRL these days.'"
Yep, players like Sa'u and Tonga that have shown themselves to be strong performers in the past but have been absent for quite a while will be the ones still to come over; and those who see it as an experience, or a stepping stone between reserves and the NRL.
Good signing overall, I'd say it's a bit risky as he hasn't been playing well for a while, but players are obviously capable of recapturing that form when they have the time.

He would of been playing but probably in the reserves so he'll be still match fit. Saying that the NRL reserve grade probably matches the quality of roughly half of the SL teams, look where Rangi Chase came from, and he's playing for our national team now.

| You can't just blame the media, Marwan was telling Salford fans that Rangi Chase was in the bag. And thats a long way away from the truth.
Steve Gill showed Cas fans an Email from Marwan stating he wouldn't be making an offer for Chase or Clark after expressing an interest.

Why would he go to the trouble of emailing Cas to say that when he's told the Salford supporters at a fans meeting the deal is 200% done?

And you really believe anything would really be done by email?

| As I've said in other posts if Chase is staying put why can't Cas make a public announcement and put these rumours that have been going on for weeks to bed once and for all. This would surely give the Cas players and supporters peace of mind wouldn't it? It may not be Salford that he's heading but it looks to me Cas are trying to get him off the wage bill and get the best offer possible. There's no smoke without fire.

Started 5 games this season,at centre , last game NRL 25th April ,
was in the squad that travelled to UK for the WCC game but missed out on selection .
so not exactly reserve as he was 1st choice for the opening rounds of the comp for the current champions. but Storm are sploit for choice in centres and it appears Will Chambers ( recently returned from a two yr stint with Queenslands Reds ) who seems to have taken over .

No smoke without fire and no Visa without convictions being spent, which won't be 'til something like August 2015. Unless we're planning to keep him holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy during the week, it's difficult to see how he could play for anyone but Cas.

I've read post after post about why he can't play for anyone else but it still doesn't explain why Cas can't just go public and put all these rumours to bed. If your star player is rumoured to be leaving it's surely very unsettling for everybody connected with the Castleford club.

Has he ?
Quote Dettoriman="Wirecutter"Why would he go to the trouble of emailing Cas to say that when he's told the Salford supporters at a fans meeting the deal is 200% done?'"
Did He ?
At the Forever Reds Supporters Meeting AGM , he was careful not to mention any names " out of respect to their existing clubs " , just that ' 4 signings were over the line ' with hopefully more to come and they would be formally announced prior to the Leeds game on Aug 9th.
he mentioned 1 was a ' Salford Icon ' and 2 were currently in action in that night's Sky Game . lots of fans threw out names. though.
He's made no secret of his admiration for some of the better players plying their trade in SL and his ambition to bring as many to the club as finances allow and has presumably sounded out Chase & Dobson , Hansen , Whitehead to name but a few .
I'm inclined to sit back and wait to see who actually does arrive rather than jumping to conclusions.
