I was just thinking last night, they remind me very much of how Wire were playing at the same time last year.

I remember Wire winning 42-6 at Headingley last year when Leeds were in a similar position to right now, and thinking 'can anyone stop them this year?' and look what happened.

Don't really believe in 'peaking too early', but I will certainly be interested to see if they can maintain this level of performance!

well due to this ridiculous play off system they could go all the way through the season being the best team handing out hidings to all their rivals only to find they weren't the best team, a much lower placed were the best team afterall.

The real question here is about how good Leeds are this season.
There is no doubt that Wigan are right on top of their game and credit them for that, but Leeds are not anywhere near the top of their game, although the will become stronger later in the season.
Also, nothing is won in June, its just 2 points and as Warrington found out last season finishing top counts for little.

Wigan playing ace at moment but all it takes is a one off game that can change their flow of the season. There could well be a "what happend to Wigan" or "Are Wigan the Man utd of rugby league" thread come end of season.
