The bloke who wrote the article doesn't follow rl but felt the need to write a load of rubbish, just the same as the numpties on here who write crap about ru but profess not to watch or know anything about the game,so the comparison is fair.

The same article was in The Courier Mail in Qld today. Just an odd article - not sure what his point is really. I also thought it was meant to be 'funny' but the guy is completely without talent in that regard.

I suggest you put the name of your next offspring down for harrow school at the moment of conception.......start saving now to meet the 23k a Term (3 a year) fees over 6 years, then another 100k for Oxbridge and once the little fella/lass has achieved a BA in Politics and managed to get a job at the Telegraph, get them to publish your thoughts.....although I doubt you'll be alive to read them in print.
The article itself was designed purely to get a reaction.........it did it's job, although I agree with some on here...it was purile at best.

..........as I say, it's a purile article and a poor attempt at humour....which seems to have upset it's target audience..........as I said, it's done what it was meant to.

Shows how weak our leadership is and the game generally in our heartland city. You would never see anything like that written about AFL in melbourne, they would be burning down the offices!

You can tell there has been no player scandals in the off season when the telecrap resorts to puff pieces like this to paint the game in a negative light and get more hits on its newspage!

That reflects well on the NRL, shows they're not hysterically oversensitive and can take in their stride. Strength, not weakness, IMO.

Silly, frankly oafish, attacks re-affirm my believe RL is best. When Clarkson fell in love with RU, I was pleased it wasn't us. Some people you want on the other side.

You only attack what you are scared of (and I don't mean a bit of trolling for bites and giggles).

Still, RL has a lot of people out there in the media that hate the game for one reason or another.
