Manly only got 13k for a finals game in Sydney! If it was Brisbane or Melbourne I'd say yep lets go for it, Manly? Bahhh, keep it in Leeds where it will draw a crowd.

It's stupid to suggest that the game between the two champions of professional leagues play in the city with the most professional clubs in the world?
Really?
I'd say it's stupid to suggest that it never will be in all fairness, and even stupider that it hasn't in 35 years. |

The game needs to make this the ultimate showpiece of club RL and hold it two weeks after the respective GF's with a million $ purse. As it is it is a glorified friendly and why would you want to disrupt your pre season for it? |

I thought last year was the perfect chance for Sydney to have a turn, the Dragons would be able pull a decent crowd if promoted correctly. On the back of a strong Australian dollar, and bumping up the rights locally to Fox or 9 it would have been a financial succes. However, the sea eagles fans do not travel out of the peninsula so there is no point hosting it in sydney in 2012.
Sydney clubs that could host the game succesfully would be:
Tigers
Dragons
Dogs
Eels
I'd also give the rights to the Broncos or Warriors should they win the comp. |

The Brisbane Bronco's would easily pull the best crowd of any Club in Rugby League.
They got a crowd of 54,000 back in 1994.
They averaged 35,000 for Club games in 2011.

“Their season starts later than ours and if we were to play it at the time we do, in February or March, I am not sure how that could happen.
“The ideal thing would be for it to be played at the end of the season, in whichever hemisphere is hosting that year’s Four Nations.
“Then it would be the two sets of players who have just won their Grand Final taking part. But certainly the 2012 World Club Challenge will be played at the start of the year.

lets hope this is the way the WCC goes in the future, the game in Feb is silly as the players are at their peak just after the Grand Final in Oct
