You could also argue that Lockyer only stands out because he is brilliant

| I NEVER thought i'd say this but Sinfield deserves to be on that list.
Its actually calculated on performance throughout the year but weighted by Internationals so if you're man of the series but spent 4 months of the season out injured you'll have a better chance than MOS.
Club appearances obviously are considered because when Smith won it in 07 Aus played next to no rep games.
Inglis, Sinfield or Smith will get it depending on saturdays result.
Moi Moi's been immense in his position especially in the back half of the season but was annonymous on saturday.
Ellis has been phenominal but Sinfields captained his club side to the GF AGAIN and been fantastic for England this year, again, something I never thought i'd say

Nothing against Sinfield winning it but I can't agree with that rationale.
You're effectively saying if Inglis scores a hat trick in defeat on Saturday he can't be crowned best player in the world.
Inglis or Smith have to win it IMO. Sinfield has been terrific for Leeds and I really like him as a player, but I can't help but think the huge praise being lavished on him results partly from the fact that we all expected him to be anonymous in an England shirt again.

Given that the Golden Boot is awarded to the player who has performed best in internationals over the last 12 months and that Sinfield has been arguably England's best player in the last three games, how is it comical?

There is no way on earth that Sinfield was England's best player against France or Australia.
Ellis has been England's best, closely followed by Burgess. Personally, Ellis was comfortably my MOTM on Saturday although Sinfield did play very well.
I realise you said arguably too

Maybe in that instance, but if England were to win on saturday, probably topped with a MOM performance from Sinfield I dont think Inglis will have scored a Hat trick.
Inglis is undoubtedly the best player in the world and will be for some time, but if that means no one else is entitled to an award then we all might as well just give up. If England win the 4N, Sinfield has another display like Sat then on top of taking leeds to another GF he deserves the title as the most influential player in world rugby

| I cant understand what the forhead did on Saturday to warrant the mom award. AlL i remember him doing was making quite possibly, the worst pass from dummy half I have seen in my 20+ years of watching RL.
Ellis and Burgess are the 2 standouts from this England team

| Cant argue with Sinfield being on the list. Fantastic player but he wont win it. Greg Inglis, Cameron Smith and Gaz Ellis have all been better.

LOL
Every single post you make involving a leeds player is negative, and bitter.
Face it, you're still hung up on 3-0 aren't you?
The only mistake sinfield makes all night and that's the only contribution of his you remember.
You are looking for mistakes, from leeds players, and that's what you pick up on.
