Just watched it again, and in the slow motion you actually saw Chev's leg snap as Senior's knee hit the back of it. AWFUL!!!

Get well soon Chev

Recoveirng from a broken leg I did myself last weekend and the pain when it happened knocked me out. All the best to Chev in his recovery and the operation he will probably have.

As a Leeds fan but rugby league fan first and foremost, I would like to send my regards to Chev and his famiy.

Just got back from the match and seen it on Sky. I hope to see Chev back on the field as soon as possible.

This puts the entire sport into perspective. Chev my thoughts are with you.

Pushing water uphill:

Not quite as bad as the David Busst one, there was no blood on the sock so it didn't seem to break the skin. At least no chance of infection. With Busst, they had to spread a bucket of sand in the penalty area before they could play on.

That one was as bad as I've ever seen. Ward's was a bad one too.

Looking at Chev on the stretcher on the way out, I thought I saw blood, although it could have been the team colours. Either way, an absolutely horrific injury. Hopefully it was a clean break and there are no complications.

Contrast the reaction of the Leeds fans to a serious injury of an opposition player when compared to the ambulance 'chants' that Ryan Bailey was subjected to by numerous Robins fans, when he was carried off in a neck brace after a similar lengthy suspension in play at Craven Park earlier in the season ?

Come on fella, the guy has broken his leg. I couldnt give a shiny excrement who this guy plays for, professional or amatuer, he was playing the best game ever invented and therefore should have the best wishes of all who watch rugby league.

Must admit, slightly in awe of him, and all SL players after that. You can guarantee a wendyball player would be rolling around screaming and losing it. Chev gets his share of stick from fans but he's risen in my estimations after tonight.

Hard s, the lot of 'em.

And nor could I ... That's not the issue here and I hope the player concerned returns to the greatest game. I was contrasting the actions of Leeds fans to the actions of Rovers fans I witnessed first-hand when an opposition player is seriously injured.

I'm pretty sure there was some blood but not a huge amount. One report I read claimed it was a compound fracture.

Just watching the match report on BBC news and the words used about the injury are that it is "too horrific to show in full".

According to them it was operate on last night so hopefully everything goes smoothly from here on in.

Im sure you would be rolling around in pain too. Your post sounds as if you are berating footballers for the way they react to such breaks.
