Played a bit at u17 and u19 level at Northern..Was Franny Jarvis and Dean Raisticks prop at times when they played there. It was bloody hard in them days (as it will be now) Had a chance to go to Bramley but I was messing about with the chairmans daughter at the time and he didn't like me.

Hurt my back at Hull and suddenly my enthusiasm for playing the game diminshed rapidly as I was off work for over 6 months..Played Amateur for many years, but never with the same go about myself. Liked the Beer and Girls too much

Still got my Losers medal when we lost to Cas. u17's in Final though..Proud of that....

Well I was the Huddersfield ballboy when we played at Fartown so I showed my skills off at half time

I played as A N other for Baltey second team when they had one about 6 years ago i came on for about 10 mins but i did play decent leval at amiture leval playing against such team like sharlston and queens i also played Heavy wollen district team and also when i was a youngster i got picked to train with the yorkshire sqaud.
Youngsters now days get better chances and get better training to make it they have scholiships and acadamy levels in my day you to be the very best around and you might have a chance of playing at colts level.

Was on Warrington's books from the age of 11 until 16 in scholarship and service area, and played a few games in the summer conference national. Means sweet f- all now though.

Was amateur Lancashire u19's

Played for the British Polytechnic Sports Association (BPSA) against British Universities and British Colleges then a couple of years later England Students

The 4 nations England squad I played for was the best standard - had about 15 pro's in it (they drafted in loads of part time students on day release from pro clubs... we won the tournament easily but it was outside of the spirit in my opinion)

No rugby now... not in the right part of the country for proper rugby... just done an Ironman Triathlon this year (Lanzarote) and now its time to stop the body breaking sports and head for the golf course I think!
