They always let the polar bears in first, because someone told them they're sitting on a mint.

| Quote Neil HFC="Neil HFC"Then I put it to you that Angela Powers "research" for the weekend is about on par with her "what is the best stadium in SL and I'm going to skew the results so its the team I support" articles a couple of years back.'"
To be fair, she was spot on with that. Other than the fans wandering round with shirts on, there was absolutely no evidence whatsoever in the city that a major event was on. There should have been billboards, posters, info points selling tickets and merchandise, maybe even a fanzone. But there was nothing.

| I was impressed with the weekend, thoroughly enjoyed it, Edinburgh isnt as cheap a city as Cardiff, its a tourist hot spot, possibly, second after London in the UK, and thats why things where a little more expensive.
Simply put a great time , but would prefer to see all derbies if possible.

| How many of the 59,749 attended both days though? I'm sure the number of individuals who actually attended over the whole weekend would be a far more interesting figure.

That's a crowd of 6000 for a place that doesn't even have a team!

6,000 tickets sold in Scotland doesn't necessarily mean 6,000 people. If they all attended both days that would be 3,000 people.

6000 tickets sold is 6000 tickets sold, end of story. Handwringing about how many were for what day and how many bought tickets for each day is mindless twaddle.
You buy a season ticket, you go one week and you are counted as attending, you go again the next week you are counted again, that is how it works.

WTF has age of a stadium got to do with counting fans?

That's easy. You divide the age of Murrayfield, in minutes by (the volume of concrete in the west stand in cubits / the weight of 23 Brazilian anacondas in pounds avoirdupois) = 17
(which is the number of actual paying customers).

Ah, the RFU/IRB method.
Didn't 73 billion people (or other life forms) watch the last Union World Cup final?

WTF? Are you seriously saying that when you buy a season ticket – or pass - at Hull, you're only counted as attending one game, no matter how many you actually go to? Because I don't believe for one minute that that's the case.
Not sure how many season passes Hull has sold, but I believe it's in the throusands – and I don't believe the Hull posted attendance drops by Xthousand season ticket holders from the second home game on.,
