Hard to judge at the moment as he has Fa'filli next to him who isn't a great defender, GB may be a bit too early for him to be honest although an invite to camp would do him well in the future.

| Quote: Redundant Man "Would rather have a player with penny's pace and finishing ability then someone who could catch kicks most of the time.'" Anthoney Sullivan (rightly) used to struggle to hold GB spot down, despite being the best finisher in the league. He was always dodgy under the high ball. If the Aussies get wise to a player with such an obvious weekness, then they'll cruicify him. Whether the Kiwi's have such a ruthless talent is debatable.

Possibly so.
I just feel he'd do well though, but he's on the crest of a wave of confidence since making his debut and i think he could carry that into the test series and play without fear, be a success then never look back.
He'd do damage IMO because the way smith likes to play creates quite a few breaks and space for the wingers.

2.Gardner
3.Gleeson

| Outside Senior would be ideal. Senior is the best protective centre in Britain (or maybe "obstructing" would be a better word).

| Next year he could be ready for the World Cup, but first he needs some international experience against the Kiwis this year. Let him show his weaknesses, if he has any, against the Kiwis this year. Then we will have enough time so Tony Smith can try to rectify them before the World Cup.

Rectifying weaknesses in a player's game isn't (and shouldn't be) the job of an international coach who will see him for maybe four to six weeks out of the year.
That sort of thing rests squarely with the club coaching staff and the player himself.

| I tell you what. When he played vs Leeds and scored the two tries but had that ball strip from Maguire which let Leeds in, it could have gone either way. To his credit, he has put that firmly behind him and until this last Sunday there has not been another obvious mistake. This Sunday he let the ball bounce into touch from a goal line drop out. Yes, he's not Nathan Hindmarsh defensively (so what), but he's a bloody exciting runner and I'm loving watching him. I don't really care if he plays for GB this year - I just want to watch him keep scoring tries for Warrington.

Francis Cummins, Karl Pratt, Marcus Bai.
None of them world beaters, all of them scored a significant number of tries playing outside Senior for Leeds.

i would suggest that's got something to do with wingers coming in to help tackle the brute, leaving space outside. Never liked Senior....don't know why, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in Harlequins colours.

| Penny is the best thing in British rugby league for a long time and I so glad he plays for the Wire. He will be a GB/ England international and he will get selected for the World Cup next year where he will score the match winning try to win the World Cup and be hailed the player of the tourament. youve heard it here first.
