Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

| Quote: El Pac Carnegie "Really? I'd love you to find some evidence of that. No team can have the success we have had in the last few years without a bit of luck. I notice the chap you quoted didn't say the winning try was flukey. I thought there were a few perplexing decisions, some went for Leeds some went against. Don't let that get in the way of your increasingly embarrassing argument.
Quick question. Do you hate Leeds more than you like Bradford?'"
Do you mean everyone in general or just Ewwenorfolk?

No chance. If that was Saints/Warrington/Wakefield etc etc I would be putting forward the same argument. It was lucky/flukey/jammy that that missed tackle occured in the dying moments, right near the tryline.

Having read your posts, it would seem that you think the try was flukey purely because it was in the 79th minute. Surely you're not basing your entire argument on this

It was a good try, even if it was a flukey one. But to call it a genius piece of play is ridiculous.
Will Lee Smith go tell his mum if I don't say sorry.
After all he couldn't take living a few hundred miles away from his mummy could he?

And because a defence that held up solid all game happened to miss one of its few missed tackles right next to the line.
If Lee Smith had have stepped the first man - no fluke. The man slipped off him, that was lucky for leeds / unlucky for wigan (whichever) but it made the try flukey.

Where was it called a genius piece of play? I think I said Smith made him miss. Which he did, whether that was because he was knackered or not Smith made him miss by running the angle he did.

Last week Saints scored 14 tries on the back of 33 missed tackles by HKR. Were Saints lucky?

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "Farrell was already committed, for heavens sake, he was in the air.'"
That was my initial thought.
But, thinking about it, clamping down on kickers being taken out late means that players aren't allowed to jump in at kickers and claim they were committed. The whole point of the rule is to protect kickers being hit without the ball.

No because they happened consistently throughout the game.
There's a big difference between missing shedloads of tackles throughout the game and standing solid for most of it then missing a vital tackle in the last minute.

You would never catch me with one of those childish signatures: |

| Quote: AlfieMoon "Classy Wigan fans throwing objects at the Leeds players'" Nah, they wasn't Wigan fans, Wigan's fans are all angels, they were more likely Wire fans in Wigan tops.

| So basically the main message is that missed tackles are flukey and absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a lack of tackling skill or tiredness. Because they are, of course, purely dependent on the fluke factor

By Damo.
If he was knackered then Smith didn't make him miss, fatigue did.
