Superb try. Hall absolutely showing his finishing class

Very good half from England. Enjoyable 40 minutes v Aus for once.

Problem with having a southern Mrs, just got into a lot of trouble for excessive shouting.

Heighington hasn't contributed anything that 10+ Englishmen couldn't. Pretty obvious that he's only in the team because of his accent.

Aus execute well but they are a lucky set of 2wats sometimes. Every single pass that goes to ground bounces in their favour, and it was never back to 6 for the first try.

England 57% territory and set completion rate 11% higher than Aus.

We needed that, this is a winnable game ATM.

They are lucky to be in front.

If Burgess had been available I'd have had him at LF. He's an automatic pick there for me. Would have picked SoL infront of Heighington, too. Unfortunately, both are unavailable.
However, I don't think that he's been bad. He's been okay, not outstanding, but not poor at all.

Heighington isn't having a bad game, he's just being outshone by the rest. Don't think anyone is having a 'bad' game, but Chase and Tomkins are head and shoulders ahead.

Next try decides the winner IMHO

Alot to be pleased with there. Especially in the backs where we are apparently weak. Touches of class from Tomkins, great finishing by Hall, Briscoe busting tackles with every carry. Even if we dont do anything in this comp we have alot to look forward to.

Very enjoyable half, good performance but a few momentary lapses have cost us. Sort those out and there is no reason we can't win this game. Doing it is another matter though

Heighington looks steady but that was a poor attempt.

Having said that we have played well and the game looks winnable.

Hall has put on a master class in finishing but for me Yeaman's defence on the other side has been equally impressive
